Back On Track (H&F NHS Talking Therapies) are offering several places on the London-wide NHS Talking Therapies for trainee Cognitive-Behavioural Therapists. Please note this role will involve working with the adult population.

If you are an experienced mental health or social care worker with a recognised professional qualification working in a mental health setting (see core professionals list on the BABCP website), or a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience, this course gives you the training you need to become an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT Therapist) via the BABCP route.

Since launching in 2009, Back on Track has become a well-established successful NHS Talking Therapy serviceand is one of the three services provided by West London NHS Trust. Our main base is in the heart of Hammersmith near the vibrant market of Lyric Square.

We have an excellent track record of successfully supporting our CBT trainees through their training and preparing them for life after. We have also retained many of our trainees who have completed the training. We recognise that theTalking Therapiestraining programme can be demanding, and we are careful to provide weekly individual supervision, supportive line management, and a buddy system to meet the needs and maximise the learning experience of each trainee.


Applications are invited from qualified clinical or counselling psychological therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Psychotherapists, Counsellors, OT, Social Workers and PWP to apply for the one year full-timeTalking Therapiespost graduate diploma courses based at Royal Holloway University. Applicants without a core mental health profession (such as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or counsellors without UKCP or BACP accreditation) must be able to meet the required KSA process criteria (see the Talking Therapies website for more information).

The training programme consists of three days working within Back On Track and two days at university taught by experts in the field. A typical week for a traineeinvolvesworking at least two days in the office including one evening clinic (12pm–8pm Monday to Thursday). You will then have two academic days to attend university throughout the year. There is an emphasis on ensuring trainees are provided with ample opportunities to apply their learning to their clinical sessions.

The training posts are offered at NHS band 6 plus 20% Inner London weighting for trainees with Back On Track.

We are looking for a Specialty doctor [substantive] who will work with the national neuropsychiatry service at St George’s Hospital. You will work alongside consultant colleagues and an MDT. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and a growing service.

You will join neuropsychiatry service based at St George’s hospital which is closely allied to the Atkinson Morley Regional Neurosciences Centre. It is an outpatient service which covers over 3-million population and receives referrals from neurologists, psychiatrists or from GPs. A wide range of neuropsychiatric conditions are assessed and managed within the service including neuropsychiatric co-morbidities associated with various neurological conditions, functional neurological disorders and other organic psychiatric conditions. In addition, the service provides assessment and advice to patients in various neurosciences wards at Atkinson Morley Wing, St George’s Hospital.

In order to be eligible to apply, candidates must clearly demonstrate on their application form that they have completed their FY1 and FY2 Foundation training (or equivalent). In addition, candidates' must have 2 years experience in Psychiatry i.e. a minimum of 4 years clinical experience as a doctor.

Wandsworth Intervention in Psychosis Service offers intensive support to clients who have experienced a first episode of Psychosis and are between the ages of 18-65 years. Evidence indicates that interventions at this crucial time can have a beneficial impact to the client and family, in many aspects of their lives. Using NICE recommended interventions including CBT approaches, family work and intensive support with an outreach ethos, the service offers a positive and recovery focused approach.

The successful candidate will require past experience of working as a care co-ordinator in the community and have robust skills in all aspects of this role.

This post is to work autonomously with service users and their families, holding a caseload for approximately 18-20 clients (pro rata). The Care co-ordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, recording and reviewing a comprehensive package of care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary Team. We currently have a few opportunities for Crisis Care Practitioners (Band 6) in our Crisis, Assessment & Treatment Team in Hounslow.

As a Crisis Care Practitioner, you will gain a variety of experience as a key member of the community healthcare team and be part of a multi-disciplinary service that other teams call on for help. Working in this service places you on the frontline of community mental health service and will enable you to respond to a variety of clinical needs at short notice.

As a member of CATT, you will work closely with local services Single Point of Access who provide triage for every new referral to the service.

The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, co-ordination and the delivery of a high quality mental health service for patients under the care of CATT who required assessment by secondary mental health services for pathway planning, brief interventions (up to 12 weeks), crisis intervention in the community, or gate keeping for the inpatient wards and community recovery house with the emphasis for potential providing home treatment.

The post holder will be involved in the on-going development of services, to ensure that the most relevant care pathway and care plan is devised to provide access to urgent and crisis care. They will be active in the promotion and use of evidence-based practice through the provision of clinical advice and support; acting as a role model; and providing education and training where appropriate.

The Ealing Crisis & Home Treatment Team (ECAHTT) are currently offering a Permanent opportunity to a Social Worker, to join the team.

This 9 to 5 role will have a special emphasis around improving access, flow and discharged from the West London Crisis Recovery House (WLCRH). The post entails taking responsibility for assessment and management of service users experiencing a crisis that may, without CAHTT intervention require a hospital admission. These referrals will be coming from a variety of sources (LPS, Inpatient Wards, Community Teams and other CAHT Teams & SPA). You will be dealing with these referrals that have very specific response times and liaising with relevant professionals. You will also have significant managerial & operational responsibility day to day.

CAHTT is a multidisciplinary team. We work closely with Inpatient Services, SPA, MINT, Early Intervention, Social Services, the Police, Statutory and Voluntary agencies. This would be a really exciting time to join the team as the function of the team is changing and the Band 7 Senior Crisis Care Practitioner role is key to these changes.

Regular monthly supervision and reflective practice will be provided. As a Senior Practitioner within the team you will be working shift work 37.5 Hours a week. The post holder should have a variety of significant experience and previous community experience would be ideal.

Crisis Assessment and Treatment Teams (CATT) are an integrated, multi-disciplinary, community based teams offering initial assessments for service users referred to secondary mental health services. A Vacancy at South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust.


This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join the newly developedForensic Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (FIND) Community Team inSouth-West London & St George’s Mental Health Trust (SWLSTG).

The FIND Team will work closely with the newly developed Oak Unit, a Learning Disability and Autism (LDA) Ward, one of the four inpatient wards, which comprise the South-West London & St George’s Forensic Service. Providing a safe transition for inpatients discharged from the Forensic Service is the Forensic Outreach Service (FOS) and the FIND Team will sit within FOS in order to provide specialist assessment, treatment and consultation to the Forensic Service in order to ensure a smooth, safe and clinically justified pathway to individuals with mental illness, offending history and learning disability with or without neurodevelopmental disorder.

The three forensic services of SWLSTG, South London and Maudsley (SLaM) and Oxleas together comprise the South London Mental Health and Community Partnership (SLP). The SLP’s overarching goals centre on bringing care closer to home, improving patient pathways and outcomes by delivering excellent care in better environments. This role is part of a new and exciting service providing forensic community service to a specialist group who require expert interventions. The FIND service works with adults with a diagnosis of a learning disability (LD) and/or Autism (ASD) who also experience additional mental illness, co-morbid neurodevelopmental conditions, or behaviours which challenge and who have had contact with forensic services.

To successful candidate will work within the Forensic Directorate in providing support to individuals with learning disabilities leaving secure mental health services across the south london partnership - the core job role is the management of a defined caseload of patients. As a care co-ordinator, you will work collaboratively with other agencies, including police, MOJ, probation, housing, and residential providers (to name but a few), to ensure that service delivery is consistently of the highest standard, providing for safe and effective care and team support.

The FIND Team will work closely with the newly developed Oak Unit, a Learning Disability and Autism (LDA) Ward, one of the four inpatient wards, which comprise the South-West London & St George’s Forensic Service. 1. To work as part of the Forensic Community Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disability Team with a specific focus on providing a consultation to patients referred to the Service.

2. To have direct management responsibilities (profession specific) of identified registered and non-registered staff within the Service.

3. To be involved in the planning and set up of the Community Forensic LD/ASD Service including the formulation of local policy and procedures as well as being able to provide ongoing strategic input to the development and running of the project.

Exciting new opportunity for Clinical/Counselling Psychologists in the MINT teams in Ealing,West London NHS Trust

We are seeking a Band 8a Clinical or Counselling psychologist to work in one of our new Mental Health Integrated Network (MINT) teams. These teams are innovative and cover both primary and secondary care adult mental health provision. The post involves providing psychological assessments and treatment to adults with a wide range of problems, including Personality Difficulties, Complex Trauma, Psychosis and other mood disorders. It also involves broader liaison and joint working with services including IAPT and external agencies to deliver on supporting psychological needs in a variety of ways.

The post-holder will hold a lead role in ensuring that all members of multidisciplinary teams have access to a psychologically informed way of thinking and formulation about different client groups. This includes having a lead role in ensuring the delivery of psychological treatments alongside providing consultation, facilitating joint work and contributing to the dissemination of psychological research and theory.

Furthermore, they will offer clinical supervision and line management to less senior members of the psychology team.

The post holder will have oversight of the psychology team, which works closely with three MDTs in Ealing. S/he would be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of treatment pathways within these teams, and to support the teams more generally in formulating and caring for service users.

The psychology team aims to offer a range of evidence-based treatments for the aforementioned disorders, including EMDR, DBT, and CBT for psychosis. Training in all these therapies is made available, delivered by expert external providers, and supported with the necessary specialist supervision.

The post holder will ensure that all aspects of nursing and multi-disciplinary care is delivered to agreed high standards which provide the best possible experience and outcome to service users across services in Community Health Services. Working with the Lead Nurses for Quality and Safety as well as matrons they will ensure that systems are in place for the local induction of nurses entering the services and overseeing the education, training and professional development of the nursing work force. The Ealing Crisis & Home Treatment Team (ECAHTT) are currently offering a Permanent opportunity to a Social Worker, to join the team.

This 9 to 5 role will have a special emphasis around improving access, flow and discharged from the West London Crisis Recovery House (WLCRH). The post entails taking responsibility for assessment and management of service users experiencing a crisis that may, without CAHTT intervention require a hospital admission. These referrals will be coming from a variety of sources (LPS, Inpatient Wards, Community Teams and other CAHT Teams & SPA). You will be dealing with these referrals that have very specific response times and liaising with relevant professionals. You will also have significant managerial & operational responsibility day to day.

CAHTT is a multidisciplinary team. We work closely with Inpatient Services, SPA, MINT, Early Intervention, Social Services, the Police, Statutory and Voluntary agencies. This would be a really exciting time to join the team as the function of the team is changing and the Band 7 Senior Crisis Care Practitioner role is key to these changes.

Regular monthly supervision and reflective practice will be provided. As a Senior Practitioner within the team you will be working shift work 37.5 Hours a week. The post holder should have a variety of significant experience and previous community experience would be ideal.
