The WGLS is part of the Central & South Genomic Laboratory Hub (https://centralsouthgenomics.nhs.uk/)

You will be responsible for providing a high quality clinical pharmacy service which meets the needs of patients and healthcare professionals within TCPC. The post-holder will also ideally have experience in Oncology Services, who is motivated, proactive and can contribute to the development and growth of the pharmacy department within TCPC. They will support the implementation of medicine management systems concerned with Oncology and Acute Care services at TCPC. The post holder will provide a specialist clinical pharmacy service to Oncology and Acute services. They will act as a role model in the oncology pharmacy field and undertake clinical supervision of pharmacy staff and teaching of nursing and medical staff. The post holder is professionally accountable for any pharmacy function for which they assume responsibility.

To provide a support service to the technical, secretarial, medical and nursing staff of the Department. To carry out receptionist duties, including prioritising and arranging appointments and maintaining the various appointment systems, identifying test requests and investigations, and co-ordinating the various clinics within the department. To deal with patients and external and internal staff enquiries in person or via the telephone, in a courteous and confidential manner and provide assistance as required. To ensure patients safety and well-being in the waiting area prior to them being called for their appointment and alerting appropriate staff to any cause for concern. Reception/Administration To cover reception desk, telephones and main reception duties in keeping with practice protocol in a promptly and courteous manner. Ensure that all prescription stationery is locked away at the end of the working day.
