Beech Ward is a 24 bedded, stroke specific rehabilitation ward. We are part of the stroke pathway where patient's are transferred from the acute setting for a period of rehabilitation. Patient's and those close to them are supported with goal setting, timely review meeting and complex discharge planning. Our patients encounter a range of complexities including, aphasia, dysphagia, tone, cognitive, mood and mobility difficulties.

We are looking for full-time dynamic and innovative Staff Nurses to join Beech Ward, at Norwich Community Hospital. You will have the opportunity to train and develop your stroke rehabilitation skills in a specialist rehabilitation environment alongside a dedicated inter-disciplinary team.

You will work as an integral part of the ward nursing team and be responsible for ensuring high standards of rehabilitation, care planning and assessment from admission to discharge of patients with complex needs. We encourage our staff nurses to train in skills such as venepuncture, male and female catheterisation, ECG recording, 24-hour tape cardiac monitoring, and complete stroke specific competences.

Effective communication within the team, our patients and relatives is vital to ensure clear outcomes, teamwork and support.

Mary Chapman Court

Mary Chapman Court is a comfortable residential care service for thirty-two residents, located in a pleasant residential area of Norwich and staffed by a team of talented carers. A homely environment is ideal for service users to achieve a comfortable retirement, while having their personal freedoms respected in pursuing as active and fulfilling a daily lifestyle as they wish. Respite and convalescent care are also available from Mary Chapman Court, as well as palliative services where required.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be experienced with food preparation and catering in accordance with Health and Safety and Food Standard regulations. Monitor and maintain kitchen cleaning schedules ensuring that all areas of the kitchen are immaculately clean; including the washing up of crockery and utensils when required.

About You;

• Able to demonstrate an ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents
• Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy
• Genuine interest in working in a care home environment.
• Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
• A committed and organised approach.
• A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible to work shifts.

Dussindale Park

Dussindale Park Care Home is a fifty-capacity Countrywide Care Homes accommodation located in Norwich, suited to a wide range of elderly care and nursing needs. The majority of rooms are en-suite and carers look to ensure that privacy and dignity of residents is always respected, while being available round-the-clock for any issues. Respite, convalescent and palliative care are all available from Dussindale, which looks to support community needs in any way its carers' expertise enables.

1. To accurately and promptly carry out the instructions of the registered Midwife who is professionally accountable for the delivery of care. 2. To carry out duties as specified within the Trusts Approved core task list for Healthcare assistants. 3. To report to registered staff any patient who gives cause for concern or any observed changes in the patients condition. 4. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable Human Resources and recruitment experience within our supportive and friendly team. As part of this role you will have the opportunity to gain experience in providing HR support to managers and employees of the Trust whilst maintaining electronic staff records, training and competency administration within our organisation that has been rated Outstanding by CQC.
