Job Summary:
Our Skilled Operational Partners work in a Warehouse Operation assisting the team to deliver in all receiving, storage and dispatch tasks ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time ready to be delivered to John Lewis customers and branches using manual handling equipment and the appropriate systems whilst providing excellent customer service.

Role: Warehouse to Wheels Operative (Partnership role title is Skilled Operational Partner CDH)
Position: Permanent Position
Location: Brooklands CDH
Hours of Work: 41 hours per week, on a rotation to include weekends.
Pay: £11.85 per hour
Due to the nature of this role, we require all applicants to be over 18 to apply
About the role:
You will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse is supporting all the Partnership channels by handling stock coming in to and being sent out of the warehouse.
Performing tasks of unloading and loading stock, accurately recording deliveries into the warehouse, moving stock around the warehouse and collecting stock for deliveries. All these duties to be performed in a safe manner with an awareness of individual responsibility for health and safety at all times. Please note that this role involves heavy lifting.
Within this Warehouse Operative role there will be scope to advance your career as a Porter or Driver.
Job Requirements:
Applicants should have the ability to deliver excellent customer service and seek for growth in all they do. The role requires a flexible approach; there will be times when you will be supporting the selling floor and other areas of the branch to meet the business needs.
Desirable experience skills and qualifications:
-Previous experience in a warehouse role involving the movement of caged stock and manual handling would be a beneficial asset, as would working in a retail environment.
-Basic computer skills are required to use stock control systems.
