We are looking to appoint at part time Attendance Officer to help improve school attendance for all students so whole school attendance exceeds national averages for all student groups. The postholder will contribute to providing attendance information to the Senior Leadership team. They will have responsibility for ensuring that attendance records are maintained and contribute to raising the % level of attendance by students. They will be a member of a team of administrative staff supporting the general school administration. In particular this role will need to forge close positive professional relationships with key families.
This is a part time position working 25 hours per week, term time only plus INSET days on a temporary contract until 31st August 2025.

What you’ll be doing

The Civil Contract Manager’s primary responsibilities include project management, reporting, risk management, stakeholder engagement, contract audits, and sharing the lessons learned throughout the process.
You will ensure contract specifications are adhered to by contract holders, oversee the technical surveillance of contract holder studies, establish surveillance programmes and annual reports, resolve technical queries, organise and run weekly and monthly progress meetings. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting quality and financial audits of the contract holder, and recording and sharing the lessons that have been learnt from both current activities and previous projects, for the benefit of others on the project.

Who you are

You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, along with practical experience in contract management and a solid understanding of contract regulations and relevant laws. You possess strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously. You have a solid understanding of legal terminology, are comfortable working within a multidimensional team, have a keen attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills. You are also capable of handling confidential information with professionalism and exhibit creative problem-solving abilities. Fluency in English is mandatory.

The role
As a Senior Maintenance Planner, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be involved in a programme of work to maintain the UKs fleet of in-service submarines and associated weapon systems.

• Providing in-service support to the Royal Navy's fleet of submarines.

This established international law firm is looking for a Corporate solicitor at the Senior Associate or Associate Director level to join their highly regarded top tier Corporate team in Bristol. Your new role
This team provide the full spectrum of corporate services including private equity, venture capital, mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets, fund formation and financial services. The firm focus on acting for clients within the key sectors of digital business, financial services, real estate & infrastructure and energy & utilities. You will enjoy working with clients such as large quoted companies, privately owned businesses, banks, financial institutions and institutional investors; in the last year the team have acted on over 60 deals with an aggregate value of over £2billion.


What you will need to succeed
Our client are keen to hear from candidates at the senior associate or associate director level. You will have gained a wide range of experience at a well-respected City or highly regarded national firm. Due to the nature of the work and the structure of the team, you will ideally be a 4-8 PQE lawyer, although candidates with more or less experience will be considered. You will be passionate about developing your career in the Corporate sector and have a high degree of self-motivation and willingness to learn, the ability to work effectively in a team and a passion for delivering excellent service to clients.

This role is a rare opportunity to work as a Paralegal for a leading international law firm across a broad range of areas. As a Matter Support paralegal based in their hybrid Bristol office, you will be part of a central team providing support to a range of legal teams alongside other paralegals and apprentices. You will have the opportunity to work with talented lawyers and a wide range of clients in a fast-paced environment. Over time, you will gain exposure to a range of work types, primarily in the firm's insurance practice.

Your new role Once you have gained the necessary experience and skills, you will have the opportunity to work within legal teams on an informal internal placement basis. Subject to business need, these placements are usually 10 months long, with direct associate supervision, giving you a broad paralegal experience and providing the opportunity to build relationships with people across the whole office.
The Matter Support team offers experience in a range of practice areas, with work coming from various legal teams including Professional and Financial Risks, Construction, Cyber, and Employment. Most of the teams' work is supporting insurance teams, usually with matters that involve defending professionals (such as architects, financial advisors, and solicitors) alongside their professional indemnity insurers in the event of a claim, meaning an interest in civil litigation is a must.
You will receive bespoke training with an induction built around regular tasks the team complete. You will also have access to a broad curriculum of firm wide training events, and a buddy to help you settle in. This role also offers the opportunity to train and mentor apprentices and new starters to the team once you've mastered elements of the role and are ready to share your knowledge.
The firm are supportive of qualification through alternative routes and have a funding policy in place to support with the costs for SQE2, Equivalent Means and CILEx. This role offers the opportunity for quality qualifying work experience and the firm has seen paralegals successfully qualify via these routes. The team and firm's growth ambitions also provide opportunities for supervisory positions in the future.
What you'll need to succeed

• A law degree, GDL or equivalent, ideally with paralegal experience or experience in a similar type of role.
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
• Good attention to detail with excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and adapt plans accordingly.
• Hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated
• Able to build internal relationships to understand expertise across the firm and to deliver excellent client service.
