• Plan, organize and oversee all activities supporting the wing commander and vice commander.
• Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.

The following duties are required of the position; they include, but are not limited to:

• Planning, organizing, developing, implementing, controlling, and refining comprehensive patient management/clinical support within clinic.
• Demonstrated success with utilization of evidence-based methodology in improving patient care outcomes and quality of care.
• Demonstrable success with implementing inter-disciplinary Telehealth Programs
• Provides services, technical counsel, and leadership guidance necessary to section staff. to meet the care and treatment needs of patients within the clinic.
• Should be a forward-thinking provider who embraces primary care delivered via Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model.
• Maintain records of meetings that include reports of conclusions, data recommendations, responsible person, actions taken, and an evaluation of effectiveness of actions taken as appropriate.
• Develop policies and procedures to assure effective management, ethics, safety, communication, and quality within the section and between Primary Care and other services as appropriate.
• Must demonstrate knowledge and skills in interpersonal relations through appropriately and courteously relating to internal and external customers.
• Must have ability to work collaboratively with HAS and Nursing Management
• Must demonstrate ability to lead Process/Performance Improvement (PI), and quality assurance initiatives in primary care.

As a Supervisory Hydrologist (Deputy Center Director) within the New Mexico Water Science Center, some of your specific duties will include:

• Serves as a member of the Senior Management Team and principal advisor to the Center Director concerning the collection, analysis, quality assurance, and publication of hydrologic data.
• Exercises a broad range of supervisory responsibilities through subordinate supervisors; oversees employee career development, performance evaluations, and makes decisions on promotions, training, and awards.
• Manages and directs all Hydrologic Data activities; a program consisting of approximately 45 employees with a budget of more than $5 million annually.
• Develops, plans, and administers the operations and activities of the NMWSC Data Program with over 30 reimbursable cooperators from state and local governments, tribes, and other federal agencies.
• Develops and secures reimbursable funds to sustain and grow the financial stability of the NMWSC Hydrologic Data program; using the center's Cooperative Matching Funds to negotiate over 30 reimbursable agreements annually with external partners.
• Advises Water Resources Mission Area on the prioritization of New Mexico's Federal Priority Stream-gages.
• Operates a government owned/leased vehicle as an incidental driver.
