Key Requirements:
• Strong background in distributor management and market penetration.
• Significant regional market experience, particularly in Southeast Asia and similar markets, within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or FMCG sectors.
• Proven experience in Regional Commercial and Distributor Management (mandatory).
• Joint venture management skills are highly desirable.
• Quick-thinking and resilient character.
• Ability to work independently in foreign countries.
• Candidates should demonstrate aggressiveness and strategic thinking regarding distributor engagement.
Job Description
The International Business (Sales & Business Development) will be involved in ensuring the business targets are met and trade marketing activities are implemented accordingly. Working with the distributors on achieving topline business KPIs, the incumbent will ensure that business plans and programs are implemented and executed excellently. In addition to excellent execution, he/she will be responsible for building his/her existing international business portfolio through expansion of products, categories, and/or geography. The goal is to drive sustainable business growth through boosting sales, expanding product distribution, identifying new categories for growth, and forging strong relationships with the distributor team in the market.
• Work closely with the distributors to manage and build the key account business.
• Work closely with the distributors on the business execution plan within the approve budget.
• Lead in the execution of all plans, programs and activities for the distributor market as outlined by the marketing calendar for that market.
• Coordinate all PR events in the market as outlined in the PR Activities plan.
• Coordinate, manage and implement all business plans and programs approved by the International Business Group.
• Coordinate, manage and implement all approved trade marketing plans and programs.
• Provide regular update key stakeholders on the business plans and execution status of the programs.
• Market checks to ensure shelves are stocked, competitor pricing/promo checks and reporting and feedback on trends/category developments in market
Qualifications
• At least 10 years' experience in key account management within consumer industries with Regional Market, Commercial, Market Penetration, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector. and Distributor Management experience.
• Trade Marketing experience for consumer products is a must
• Product introduction experience is a major plus
• Entrepreneurial flair and a self-starter
• Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
• Excellent in verbal and written communications skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
