GENERAL FUNCTION:

Direct responsibility for strategy, execution and overall leadership of the Affiliate Wholesale LOB to drive the achievement of growth revenue, P&L objectives, operational & regulatory, client experience and employee engagement goals. Directs, coaches and leads execution of Wholesale Strategy including Playbook execution, annual business planning, portfolio segmentation, business development & client relationship strategies. Establishes sales goals for team members, and ensures that team members meet and strive to exceed goals, and adhere to the Bank's policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Mentors team members, especially on more complicated loan structures. Helps to develop less experienced team members and build partnerships with talent available in the market, talent identification, and cultivating those relationships. Key member of affiliate executive leadership team reporting directly to the Affiliate President. Typically utilized in large affiliates.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance and Talent Management:

• Provide RMs and Team Leads support, ongoing feedback, coaching and direction in client and prospect business development, through established individual sales meetings, team meetings and joint calling efforts with team members to elevate individual and team performance/results.
• Ensure sales effectiveness and performance management results are being achieved as tracked by weekly and monthly reporting.
• Utilize the Onboarding Resource to assimilate new team members.

Business Development:

• Lead regional/portfolio business planning for region to grow lead client relationships and acquire new prospective relationships to achieve loan and fee production goals.
• Lead Prospect strategy for clients by utilizing referral sources, existing clients and centers of influence.
• Active and visible community and industry involvement to broaden and leverage relationship networks, referral sources and continually deepen knowledge of trends, practices, services and the competitive landscape.
• Ensure that customer relationships are managed to maximize revenue contribution, while mitigating risk and focusing on client needs.
• Collaborate with One Bank /product partners (IA, Consumer/ Retail, TMO, etc. and Bancorp- Vantiv, Paycor, etc.) analyze, evaluate and develop a tailored relationship strategy for each top client or prospect.
• Lead Cross-sell strategy on all applicable 5/3 products and services to an existing portfolio of business clients and their owners/Sr. management with the ultimate goal of being client's lead or primary bank.

Client Experience:

• Oversee execution and follow through on One Bank meetings, pre-call planning processes, One Bank Consultative Sales approach and prompt post call follow up.
• Ensure utilization of the Bank's Client Relationship Management (CRM) system for client activity.

Credit Excellence:

• Develop strong partnership with Credit and on credit requests to ensure adherence to established Portfolio Management guidelines and Policy.
• Ensure team achieves credit standards and metrics in regard to asset quality, credit administration (matured/renewals, financial statement documents, covenant data integrity, matured notes and document exception) and RAROC.
• Monitor, on an ongoing basis, information concerning client financial performance, condition, and industry trends to determine that any credit exposure is at an acceptable risk, and priced accordingly.
• Operational and Regulatory Excellence.
• Responsible for P&L financial performance, expense controls and staffing budget.
• Provide proactive identification and implementation of opportunities to strengthen first line of defense, complaint management processes, vendor oversight, integration of regulated controls and testing across products/channels.
• Works with key partners to ensure distinctive execution and achievement of goals in sales ( TM, National LOB- CRE, Healthcare, Retail, International, etc.) and service (WSD, CSC, CRM, Sales Support Services, etc.).
• Collaborate with support areas( Finance, Human Capital, Client Experience, etc.) to position Wholesale to achieve strategic initiatives and business goals.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, economics or related business field; MBA preferred.
• 12+ years commercial lending experience.
• Excellent relationship building/interpersonal skills, written and verbal communications skills required.
• Position requires the ability to establish self as a leader, to not only perform in a leadership role, but to also be recognized by others as a leader.
• Must be able to work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with senior management and internal partners.

Summary

The Senior Human Resources Partner, Student Employment serves as an HR generalist and performs a variety of duties in support of the human resources function including but not limited to recruitment, placement, training, and employee relations. The Senior HR Partner will lead and support the student employment job placement process and respond to all policy and procedure inquiries. Additionally, the Senior HR Partner will collaborate with the office of financial aid to validate student aid awards prior to job placement as well as track and communicate federal work-study hours to both supervisors and students. The Senior HR Partner will also be responsible for providing information and assistance to faculty, and staff related to job postings, hiring, onboarding, and separation of employment. Additional duties will include projects related to the Federal Work-Study program and student employment such as recognition awards, benchmarking analysis, student retention metrics, and conducting training for both supervisors and students. Additionally, the Senior HR Partner will serve as the primary backup to the Talent Acquisition Manager and will be the first point of contact for Talent Acquisition needs in the absence of the Talent Acquisition Manager.

This is a hybrid position however in-office presence will be required for the first three months, and at the beginning of the academic year along with the flexibility to attend specific evening and weekend open house sessions.  

Essential Functions

Serves as the Senior Human Resources Partner by completing various functions to include:

• Providing guidance to all hiring managers throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.

• Posting all vacant student, faculty, and staff positions utilizing Workday HR Recruiting applicant tracking system. Ensuring job titles and postings are consistent university’s practices.

• Screening applications and resumes and providing hiring managers with qualified candidates via Workday HR Recruiting.

• Coordinating and conducting applicant interviews when applicable. 

• Conducting background reference checks for all employees as required. Ensures students hired in a leadership role are cleared with the Office of Student Conduct (i.e., Housing and Residence Life, CCSI positions).

• Verifying Federal Work-Study student award eligibility of students with financial aid before job placement and throughout the recruitment process.

• Assist new hires with the onboarding process in Workday.

• Facilitating the completion of Form I-9 Employment Verification requirements for all new employees utilizing E-Verify. 

Performs various functions in the HRIS system to include:

• Initiating functions in Workday HCM/Recruiting such as creating job requisitions, referring applicants, or inviting candidates to apply for vacant positions. Approves/reviews various business processes in Workday to include hiring, placement, assign organization, and processing job changes such as transfers and terminations. Accurately enters the information in the HRIS database.

• Ensuring position titles are displayed in Workday in a consistent manner and follow best practices according to established protocols.

• Reviewing TeamDynamix ticketing system and responding to all open ticket inquiries within 72 hours.

• Reviewing and responding to emails received in the student employment mailbox.

• Testing new Workday Releases for functionality and potential implementation.

Coordinates and develops Work-Study and Student Employment programming:

• Collaborating with the Organizational Development team to create support programming for students to develop workplace competencies as well as process and best practice training for supervisors. 

• Partnering with divisional to develop and create student recognition programs.

• Attending new student orientations to promote the student employment program.

Develops Student Employment Hiring Policies and Procedures in accordance with best practices:

• Developing Work-Study/Student Employment guidelines for hiring managers and students.  

• Ensuring the Student Employment Handbook is current and up to date.

• Conducting benchmarking analysis on Student Employment policies, procedures, and programming as required.

• Maintaining membership with the National Student Employment Association.   

• Ensuring websites display accurate and the most up-to-date information on FWS/Student Employment hiring procedures.

Conducts audits and communicates the status of FWS hours:

• Monitoring the Federal Work-Study student total award amount on a bi-weekly basis to ensure student payments do not exceed allocated funds. Responsible for communicating FWS's remaining hours to both supervisors and students at least three times during a semester (during the beginning, mid-point, and towards the end, 2 to 3 weeks before graduation).

• Ensuring proper reconciliation to the general ledger for Work-Study Cost

• Ensuring Work-Study students are ended in Workday at the end of each academic year including graduating students.  

• Providing analytics and input into the review of student positions to ensure FWS funding is utilized to the maximum.

• Entering total award amounts for each FWS student in Workday. Collaborates with Financial Aid to modify award amounts as required.

• Enter one-time payments when applicable.Centers/Function/Fund.

Provides leadership, guidance, and support to direct reports by:

• Collaborating with the Manager of Talent Acquisition to provide ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure direct reports meet/exceed expectations related to service standards.

• Mentoring the Human Resources Partner by providing coaching, feedback, and training recommendations.   

• Providing mentorship, orientation, and training to internal Human Resources Student employees.

• Scheduling and assigning tasks to internal Human Resources Student employees.

Qualifications/Requirements

• A Bachelor's in any discipline is required and 3 years of relevant experience.

• 3-5 years of experience in Administration, Financial Aid, or Human Resources may substitute the bachelor's degree requirement.

• This position requires a high level of analytical skills to problem-solve a variety of Human Resources related challenges and provide sound judgment in decision-making. This position requires the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner while gathering and analyzing information skillfully.

The senior tax analyst is a highly valued member of the International tax team within the Corporate Tax department.  This role provides  a great opportunity to become a member of a dynamic corporate tax group that is  comprised of highly skilled and motivated tax professionals committed to providing team members with challenging and diverse tax work experience. The position will report to the International Tax Manager and will be responsible for tax filing requirements related to U.S. international tax compliance, assistance with financial statement reporting for income taxes (ASC 740), including involvement with the quarterly tax provision process, tax audit support for the Company as needed, as well as tax research and special project work.

What You Can Expect

• Lead  information gathering and review foreign affiliates  reporting packages for the quarterly tax provision and US tax return preparation process

• Prepare and analyze the impact of international tax issues for purposes of the quarterly tax provisions and US tax compliance including determination of Subpart F income, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credits, and foreign currency transactions

• Lead the preparation of the US international returns including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 8975 by utilizing SAP and other data sources

• Assist with the review of local statutory financial statements, tax returns and return-to-provision templates

• Develop market training materials and participate in live training sessions

• Coordinate with third party providers on various outsourcing engagements including the global tax compliance engagement

• Participate in tax planning projects and organize documentation to support transactions

• Participate in standardizing processes and workpapers to create process efficiencies

• Assist in quantitative modeling of the tax impacts with respect to acquisitions, restructurings, other planning initiatives, and tax legislation changes

• Research and respond to day to day issues that arise with respect to US international tax and foreign tax

• Develop skills to become an expert in our tax provision and tax return software

• Assist with other corporate tax projects as needed

What You Bring to the Table

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required

• Essential Functions

The Internal Medicine Research Unit (IMRU) is committed to finding cures for metabolic diseases and related complications. Our goal is to build a research team of driven scientists focused on developing a deep mechanistic understanding of the metabolic pathways driving obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and renal disease. Apply scientific and technical expertise to drug discovery programs to impact the future of new drug candidate development. The aim is to recruit a scientifically and technically strong research scientist proficient in in vivo and in vitro metabolic research models, with the ultimate goal of developing effective therapies.
 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conceptualize and design experiments.

• Organize and conduct in vitro/ in vivo/ ex vivo studies independently (including preparation, data collection, interpretation, and presentation).

• Maintain awareness of scientific and technical developments in the field.

• Author manuscripts for quality publications in top-tier journals.

• Interface with an interdisciplinary team of scientists in the Internal Medicine Research Unit and engage in both target exploration and driving established projects in our portfolio.

• Quantify and translate experimental results to advance the understanding of how metabolic pathways and complex physiological systems are altered by diseases and how they respond to therapeutic interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD with a minimum of 2 years of post-doc experience.

• Experience in obesity-related physiology is required (examples, CNS regulation of energy balance, muscle or adipose metabolism/function).

• Expertise in cell biology and physiology with emphasis on metabolism and signaling pathways is essential.

• Experience working with GPCRs and associated pathways is a plus but not required.

• A successful track record of scientific achievements through scientific publications and presentations.

Meaningful Work From Day One
Senior Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for maintaining item forecasts through statistical modeling, as well as enhancing the demand plan with market, promotion and distribution intelligence gathered from cross functional partners in Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain. The Senior Demand Planning Analyst will facilitate and actively participate in the monthly IBP consensus forecasting, and Step 2 meetings, gather, and document assumptions, signal demand for production planning, communicate key changes and plan drivers across the org., and assist in executing the demand plan. This analyst is equally comfortable in systems and data, forecast modeling, and steering and influencing the consensus building process.

What You Can Expect

• Facilitates and actively participates within the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) demand consensus meetings, incorporating input from Sales and Marketing. Highlight plan changes, document assumptions and risks/opportunities to plan.

• Prepares and presents Demand Planning key performance indicators during IBP Consensus meetings with commercial regional, Brand and Senior Leadership.

• Participates in cross functional IBP alignment meetings with key business partners and effectively communicates information to help influence the consensus forecast by telling a story with data, trends, and analysis.

This position will support the Finance Manager as a key member and business partner of the Global Travel Retail (GTR) Americas team, which includes Americas Travel Retail, Transportation, and Military.  You will provide

financial support, reporting, planning and insights to aid commercial decision making and strategic direction. This will include development and management of trackers and reports, various financial, consumer, and P&L analyses, and other ad hoc support.

What You Can Expect

Commercial Support and Analytical Insight

• Support commercial team with analytics and insights for the region to guide commercial decision making.

• Interpret and ensure accuracy of financial statements, working with the accounting team to develop accruals, JEs, pricing approvals and manage queries.

• Support Finance Manager in developing quarterly forecasts, annual targets and strategic long-term planning.  Be able to understand and challenge key assumptions and assess risks.

Other

• Provide ad hoc support on special projects (by their nature it is difficult to define these projects as they will be driven by requirements that change).

• Support Finance Manager in reviewing and implementing RGM initiatives

• Liaise with Accounting function to ensure proper recording of JEs & accruals, and ensure books are kept in accordance with local & US GAAP.  Collaborate with that team to ensure efficiency in processes.

• Submit depletion data on a monthly basis for applicable markets.

The Vice President for Government Relations and Communication Engagement has responsibility for advancing Georgetown’s strategic interests – and the strategic interests of the higher education sector – at both the federal and local levels of governance.

They lead and coordinate the University’s engagement with the Federal Government, the District of Columbia government, and - as appropriate - other governmental entities in the greater Washington metropolitan area.

They also coordinate the University’s engagement with local neighborhood residents, community stakeholders, and higher education advocacy groups throughout the District of Columbia and the broader Washington, DC region.

Work Interactions

Reporting to the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President for Government Relations and Community Engagement is a member of the COO leadership team in the Office of the COO. They have three direct reports – an Engagement Coordinator, an Associate Vice President for Federal Relations, and an Associate Vice President of Community Engagement and Local Government Affairs, each of whom manages and oversees their own team.

We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Senior Accountant supporting our finance team, you will be trusted to work on analyzing and preparing financial reports within our pharmaceutical products at our Fort Worth, TX location.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Prepare accurate and robust monthly balance sheet account analyses and reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate journal entries in a timely manner.
• Ongoing operational improvements made through the month to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and address business / operational changes.
• Collaborate proactively with key partners, including Finance colleagues, internal and external accounting authorities/auditors, and Regional/Global Financial Reporting and Accounting. Communication with these partners is appropriate and timely when questions regarding accounting/reporting matters arise.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS (GAAP), accounting and financial reporting requirements. Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient ERP knowledge (SAP)
• Confirmed Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
