Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Chicago office (hybrid, in office three days a week):
Placement Associate/Insurance Property Broker
What you can expect:
The Placement Associate prepares documentation and submissions to market, analyzes and collects quotes, and ensures proper records are maintained
You will work with Placement colleagues to compare quotes for markets, review existing client insurance and risk programs, and prepare proposal components

We will count on you to
Process necessary documentation and follow up on outstanding documentation with the appropriate party to ensure the smooth continuation of the Placement process
Request and oversee follow-up for changes from underwriters, and review coverage specifications to be submitted to carriers/underwriters to ensure they are accurate
Maintain market contact at appropriate levels needed to execute assigned tasks effectively and assist the Placement colleague
Maintain a more detailed technical understanding of the Placement business to better assist the Placement colleague
What you will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree
3 years of Property Placement Broker experience (Casualty experience with an interest in transitioning to Property would be OK)
MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), with strong proficiency in Excel
Organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Keen attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to forecast changing insurance and risk management market conditions
Experience obtaining quotes from carriers based on the “assist, advise, and assume” transaction model
