As the Internal Communications Manager (staff) at Royal Holloway, University of London, you’ll be passionate about crafting and implementing strategic employee communication and engagement initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and deliver creative, informative, and engaging communications across the University, aligned with its values.

This role will focus on leading and implementing strategic communications and employee engagement events, collaborating with various stake holders across the University, and is aligned with communications for students as part of the Internal Communications team.

Working with the Head of Internal Communications, you will lead on the development and delivery of engaging staff facing communication campaigns, manage the core staff communication channels, and be accountable for the development, delivery, and evaluation of an annual engagement and communication plan, as well as crisis communications and managing communications for internal reputational risks.

You will be a creative, proactive and proven networker, have experience in internal communications, and you will have a track record of developing, delivering, and measuring the success of communication and engagement plans.

As an Internal Communications Officer at Royal Holloway, you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of informative and engaging communications across the University. The post holder will work within a small team to create communications for students and staff, delivered primarily via digital channels. To generate compelling, relevant, and inspiring content, the post holder will develop a strong network of stakeholders across the University, helping to ensure that communication is timely and relevant for a highly diverse audience.

A graduate, or with a relevant professional qualification, you will be a great writer, with experience of developing written and audio-visual content for use online, familiarity with using social media, preferably within a professional communication and marketing context, excellent IT skills, with experience of using MS software packages and strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt to shifting deadlines.

Experience of using video and photo editing software is essential to the role and experience of working in a busy marketing or communications environment, using content management systems would be an advantage.
