Morgan Hunt is currently recruiting for a highly regarded public sector organisation in Belfast, who require a Senior Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis.

You will be required to take lead on the development, ongoing management, and service quality of the company's virtualised and physical compute architectures. You will also have to act as the lead technical specialist, being responsible for implementation, development, and support.

Role Responsibilities

• Act as the lead technical specialist and manager, ensuring the design and implementation of the company's key strategic compute architectures.
• In charge of the maintenance and ongoing enhancement of the managed compute and virtualisation services
• Ensure everything is in accordance with accepted technical and operational standards.
• Manage the implementation of Cloud hosted and As a Service alternative delivery models.
• Contribute to the risk assessment in the design of BCP/DR scenarios

Role Requirements

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in an Information Technology, Computer Science related discipline or demonstrate appropriate level and range of professional experience.
• Experience in VMWare and vCenter technologies.
• Experience in one of the following- Linux/Unix hosting platforms, Automation Technologies i.e. Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Enterprise Storage Architectures, Backup and Archival Technologies, Data Centre Hardware Deployments (Servers, Storage & Network) , Disaster Recovery and Data Protection solutions.
