Ferguson is seeking an Outside Sales Representative based in the Seattle-Tacoma, WA geography to work within our Strategic Initiatives Group (SIG). The core focus for this role with be small to medium mechanical pump stations, water & waste treatment plant facilities, and industrial design build for major infrastructure projects throughout greater Washington. Contractors and Owners within this market space across North America come to Ferguson for our experience and reliability in the waterworks industry, and we are expanding this presence through the Pacific Northwest.

Job Function and Responsibilities
Work with the Strategic Initiatives Group to prioritize and collaborate with local and national teams to provide project quotations and proposals.
Develop and manage relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base, including key accounts.
Ability to negotiate with vendors and manufacturers.
Be part of the problem-solving process, value engineering, and take part in conversations regarding changing market conditions.
Supervise sales strategies and manufacturer alignment to develop market specific pricing during pre-bid through post-bid opportunities.
Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.
Ability to read and understand construction documents including project specifications, drawings, and change orders.
Work with other branch personnel to ensure customer satisfaction from the order to the delivery and beyond.
Work with pre-bid and post-bid teams to ensure accuracy of the final quoted scope reflects the expected needs from customer to customer.
Own your projects from start to finish with collaboration and oversight with specific team members.
Qualifications
5+ years industry related sales experience is required.
A successful associate will be results oriented, self-motivated, able to complete tasks in a timely manner, build relationships and enjoy a team environment.
Strong technical background and experience in water and / or wastewater industry preferred.
Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
Problem solving, leadership and listening skills.
General digital literacy.
Travel required with overnight trips, up to 25%.
This is a commission eligible role with no cap on commission potential. The estimated total compensation range is $90,000 - $140,000 + annually.
