Suvo Strategic Minerals Limited Is Australia’s Only Hydrous Kaolin Producer And Exploration Company Listed On The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX:SUV). We currently have a position available for a Senior Industrial Chemist.

Principal Responsibilities

Mining Operation:
Ensure safe execution of all mining and haulage activities, adhering to corporate and local regulatory standards.
Provide strategic guidance to the mining contractor for necessary mining activities, ensuring the procurement of raw materials meeting production standards.
Oversee the extraction of suitable raw material quantities to fulfill production budget forecasts.
Establish and maintain a comprehensive system for recording all mining and exploration activities.
Ensure timely collection and testing of mining samples.

Haulage:
Supervise the transportation of approved stockpiles to the plant's designated areas, maintaining adequate stock levels to meet production requirements.
Maintain detailed records of haulage volumes and properties.

Quality Control:
Collaborate with operations and sales teams for optimal outcomes during product development and testing.
Co-manage with the Laboratory Supervisor to ensure compliance of Pittong laboratory equipment with Quality Standards and accurate testing of mining and production samples.
Ensure timely availability of test results and handle non-conforming products by repeating tests, taking appropriate corrective actions, and documenting follow-up procedures.
Maintain Approved Sample Stock for all sample requests.
Review daily test results with Operations and the Production Manager, taking corrective actions when necessary.

Laboratory:
Implement and oversee correct sampling procedures.
Provide laboratory sampling services to various industries, laboratories, and clients.
Manage administrative tasks related to daily laboratory operations.
Ensure safe handling of chemicals by liaising with staff and overseeing day-to-day operations.
Conduct product sampling for analysis at internal or external laboratories.
Research and develop more efficient treatment practices, systems, and procedures for hydrous Kaolin processing.
Develop and maintain reporting systems and documents.
Implement R&D strategies, managing projects, costs, and compliance reporting.

Wet Processing:
Provide "Wet Process Blend" for produced products.
Conduct trial blends, document results, and ensure compliance with specifications.
Issue relevant documentation for successful blends and continually monitor them.
Collaborate with Operations Lead and Production Manager to create a weekly production schedule meeting customer and stock requirements.
Monitor wet processing equipment performance and ensure scheduled maintenance.
Oversee wet production test results to ensure final products meet specified storage and drying requirements.

Qualifications
Suitable certification or relevant experience
Experience
At least 2 years of experience in a similar environment.
