Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Durham, or Ashington (Northumberland): Hybrid Working
Contract: Maternity Cover / Expected 12 Months.
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday / 30 hours per week will be considered.
Salary: £31,023 per annum (Full Time).
About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team on a fixed term basis. This role can be based either in Ashington or Durham, working on a hybrid basis with a 40%/60% home/office split.
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will prepare statutory returns such as VAT and CIS returns, assist with the annual audit, and provide support with the payroll function. You will also take ownership of our development company’s financial processes.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will be well organised and able to work to statutory deadlines. At Bernicia we are customer focused in everything we do, so you will have excellent customer service skills in the delivery of your work, conversing with stakeholders across Bernicia and within our partner organisations.
For the technical bit, you will ideally hold a finance qualification such as AAT. You will have experience of preparing management accounts, and of working within a large finance team, with involvement in VAT and payroll processes.
