As our Night Manager, your tasks and responsibilities include:

What you'll be doing

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Responding to client enquiries and contacting clients to determine their meeting and event needs
• Driving new business leads, lead quotation & sales conversion by conducting proactive sales activities
• Designing tailored quotes and proposals and driving conversion of lead through proposal to contracting stage
• Drive sales strategy to ensure conversion targets are achieved and monitor success on a weekly basis, including understanding of the business to manage forecasting
• All aspects of event coordination including being the point of liaison for the client for all their event needs, creating event orders, invoicing, and to ensure the event details are effectively communicated to the client and internal Departments
• Identifying operational challenges and operational work practices to ensure seamless & enjoyable events for both clients and internal team members

What you will be doing:

• This position is responsible for all maintenance issues within the Hotel to deliver an excellent guest experience while performing daily checks, repairing equipment, and coordinating projects.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with projects including repairs and replacement of plant and equipment including refrigeration, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
• Manage contractor work requests, inductions and follow up on all work assigned.
• Assignment of daily tasks to engineering staff, to meet workload and business needs
• Implement systems to manage risk and environmental impact effectively.
• Train and develop members of the Engineering team.
• Prioritize job requests, assign tasks to team and follow up on completed jobs as required.
• Ensuring overall adherence to fire safety policies of Hot Works permits, Tag Out system, Material Safety Data Program, Confined Space program, CFC control program, Work Permit program.
