1.     Job Summary            

• Prepare electrical designs that conform to the project requirement.

2.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design electrical layouts.

• Prepare design calculations.

• Develop technical specifications to meet project requirements.

• Develop drawings for CAD input.

• Review drawings from CAD.

• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines during project preparation.

• Shall carry out duties in accordance with quality and environmental management system, health and safety policies and procedures.

• Shall report quality, environmental, health and safety problems or any suggestions to his/her immediate superior.

• Shall perform other related duties that his/her immediate superior may assign from time to time.

3.     Supervision Received and Exercised

• Works under the general supervision of the Associate and/or the Senior Engineer

• No supervisory responsibility

• Support senior professionals/ professionals in some aspects of projects, plans, programs, or designs

4.     Education, License and Experience Required

• A degree in Electrical Engineering from reputable school

• PRC License

• Minimum of  years experience per Position Levels: (a) Engineer II – Minimum two (2) years of related experience; (b) Engineer III – Minimum four (4) years of related experience

5.     Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities Requirement

• Basic knowledge of design and analysis of electrical distribution system (load analysis, feeder/protection sizing, short circuit analysis, protection coordination study, arc-flash hazard analysis, CT sizing, grounding system design, lightning protection design  and equipment selection)

• Basic knowledge of design and analysis of site development overhead or underground power distribution system, streetlighting system and utilities power system design.

• Basic knowledge of design and analysis of low and extra low voltage system (motor controls, lighting, receptacles containment and auxiliary systems).

• Computer literacy and basic knowledge of the use of design software such as DIALux Evo, ETAP, Microsoft Excel and AUTOCAD.

• Basic knowledge of local and international codes and standards.

• Knowledge in the application of the quality system.
