As the Risk and Compliance Advisor within the Perth Energy team, you will oversee risk and compliance requirements and be a subject matter expert on WA regulatory requirements applicable to Perth Energy.

What you’ll be doing:
Providing relevant, strategic and actionable regulatory advice to the Perth Energy business units operating in a highly complex regulatory and compliance environment.
Providing advice and recommendations that are solution orientated and look to maximise business outcomes and supports strategic objectives as well as promoting an effective compliance culture within the business through strong stakeholder networks and proactive support.
Managing investigations and requests for information by regulatory bodies, as well as researching and critically evaluating options when presented with complex regulatory problems.
Driving the identification, investigation and resolution of compliance incidents and issues
Enhancing and delivering an ongoing education program as a preventative control for compliance which includes delivering relevant, useable and tailored education sessions to obligation and control owners, to uplift understanding of key obligations and controls.
What you’ll bring:
Proven experience within a regulatory or compliance role as well as knowledge of WA energy legislation.
Ability to work with ambiguity in a complex environment.
A commercial and strategic attitude towards ensuring regulatory compliance.
Awareness of best practice developments in regulatory compliance and the ability to drive implementation where appropriate including demonstrated knowledge to help shape and implement future initiatives.
Excellent presentation, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills as well as demonstrated experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of business.
