Job Title: Investment Operations - Investor Services - Assistant Vice President

Job Description:

Blackstone is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated, focused, and organized individual to join the Investor Services team, which is responsible for providing accurate information to our investors.

The Private Equity Investor Services team collaborates with the Investment Team, Global Fund Finance, Tax, and Legal & Compliance, as necessary. The role will have direct exposure to senior members across different Business units (BU) and Investment teams as well as the Global Institutional Client Solutions team (Global ICS) to coordinate responses to investor inquiries. Key responsibilities include:

·         Collecting, monitoring, and maintaining LP subscription documents for new fundraises and coordinating with appropriate Blackstone teams and outside counsel to facilitate acceptance

·         Serving as primary point of contact for investor onboarding inquiries

·         Recording approved investor records in systems and populating LP reference data

·         Monitoring Investor Services BU mailboxes and phone lines, validating requests to ensure authenticity and security, and coordinating across teams to address and respond to investors in a timely manner

·         Coordinate responses to certain investor inquiries with Management and Investment teams as well as Global ICS.

·         Merging LP capital notices and other ad hoc LP correspondence and posting all such LP communications as well as quarterly PCAPs and financial statements to Blackstone’s investor portal

·         Maintaining updated LP contact information and reference data

·         Collecting, monitoring, and maintaining LP transfer requests and coordinating with appropriate Blackstone teams and outside counsel to facilitate execution

·         Recording approved transfer records in systems and populating and maintaining investor reference data

·         Establishing fundraising data room, maintaining access and permissions for authorized parties, and posting marketing materials

·         Coordinating and responding to LP requests for confirmation and those from their auditors

·         Determining LP attributes and ownership for acquisition vehicles; and

·         Working across Blackstone business units to ensure consistent and “best” practices are applied to the Investor Services functions

Qualifications:

Job Description:

• Responsible for day-to-day activities related to the fund accounting and reporting of open-ended and closed-ended core real estate funds administered both externally and internally
• Liaise on a daily basis with third party fund administrator including, but not limited to cash, capital allocations and reconciliations, financial statements, capital call drawdown notices, distributions, redemptions, and investor requests
• Responsible for fund level operating activities including deal funding, investor funding, all cash activities, line of credit, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting
• Responsible for deliverables associated with BX quarterly close
• Responsible for production of quarterly and annual financial statements fund partnerships’ GAAP financial statements
• Responsible for calculation of complex waterfall and incentive models
• Liaise with external auditors
• Coordinate with internal audit to ensure SOX compliance

Qualifications

Job Title: Global Fund Finance - Open-Ended Funds - BXPE - AVP

• Work directly with internal and external teams to assist in the preparation and review of the 10-Q, 10-K, and other recurring SEC filings and ensure new transactions are appropriately disclosed 
• Collaborate with various teams to prepare accounting policy memos for new transactions and analyze new accounting standards to determine impact on the fund
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors; oversee SOX controls and documentation
• Work directly with internal and external teams to ensure the financial results are appropriately recorded in the fund’s financial statements
• Responsible for regulatory reporting
• Work with internal and external teams to monitor the liquidity of the entire fund structure including supporting treasury operations for investor subscriptions, redemptions and distributions; liaising with stakeholders to ensure sufficient cash is available when and where required; coordinate with the appointed service providers to monitor funds available for distribution to support the fund’s distribution policy
• Responsible for quarterly close of BX deliverables  
• Assist with ad hoc analysis and projects

Qualifications:

• CPA license is preferred
• 6 + years of public/private accounting experience
