Job Description:
PURPOSE
According to prescribed policies and procedures of the organization including all applicable state, federal and accreditation regulations assumes responsibility for playing a lead role in ensuring essential Treasury and banking functions are performed with a high level of accuracy on a timely basis, while helping to foster a team environment, in addition to being the first point of contact and providing support and guidance to the Treasury Administrative Assistant. Candidate will exhibit intellectual curiosity, and be a self-starter with the ability to initiate action with little or no direction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Process daily wires, ACHs, and intrabank transfers for Housing, Senior Living, and Parent divisions, exercising prudence and discretion on all such financial transactions. Ensure adherence to fraud mitigation policies and procedures to protect company assets.
Process biweekly Housing payroll files and reports, working with corporate Treasurer and business line leadership as necessary to ensure payroll account is funded by the prescribed deadline.
Monitor Treasury email; handle banking issues and research requests within 24 hours, demonstrating the ability to independently resolve issues through sound judgement, initiative and strong critical thinking skills.
Assist in creating and maintaining positive, productive bank relationships through interactions with banking officers and executives, adapting style and approach to be effective in different situations with different people.
Participate in Treasury related projects, often involving systems and technology, including research, testing, implementation and creating documentation.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement improvements.
Assist with training Central Office and field staff on new processes and procedures as needed.
Provide support, guidance, and training to the Treasury Administrative Assistant and assist with training / cross-training other Treasury team members as needed.
Work with Treasury Supervisor/Treasury Manager to coordinate and maintain Treasury policies and procedures, ensuring effective internal controls are in place. Update documents on the PPG and M-files as needed, reviewing annually.
Open/close and maintain over 1,600 bank accounts across all divisions of National Church Residences, maintaining all banking documentation in an orderly fashion in M-files.
Coordinate on- and off-boarding activities related to acquisitions, divestitures, refinances and new or terminated management contracts process, including but not limited to opening and closing bank accounts, communicating with the Development team and field leadership, and maintaining proper documentation in M-files.
Act as subject matter expert for the Cash Transfer System, developing a thorough understanding of its functions and how to troubleshoot issues; assist in testing upgrades and enhancements with N^^ Applications Development team.
Coordinate quarterly review of all bank portal access across Housing, Senior Living, and Parent divisions to ensure proper controls and separation of duty are maintained.
Interact with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally. Periodically meet with banking partners.
Complete monthly bank fee and interest GL imports for Accounting.
Maintain a working knowledge of the Yardi AP/GL and Workday systems and how they interface with Treasury.
Process New Jersey security deposit move ins and move outs, assisting field staff as needed, and complete annual audit of resident sub accounts.

With respect to Resident Rights, ensures all care is provided with respect and dignity for the residents/clients, their families and the staff. Reports all complaints made by residents/clients and/or families to the appropriate supervisors, reports all allegations of abuse, misappropriation of funds/resident property and/or any other corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state and local regulations and laws.
Completes all annual education requirements timely, including but not limited to Compliance, Privacy, Security and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties.

JOB SPECIFICATION SHEET—SENIOR BANKING ANALYST
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: 2-4 years’ experience in retail or commercial banking, accounting, or finance with an understanding of banking and/or treasury management required. Experience with HUD and LIHTC properties is a plus.
Mental: Must have good communication, analytical, problem solving, customer service, comprehension, and interpersonal skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to learn quickly and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment where accuracy is critical. Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English and industry specific terms.
Skills: Must have strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with banking and cash management systems is a plus.
