Waste Collections, Keynsham Recycling Hub, Worlds End Lane, Keynsham
Our Waste Collection Department is responsible for the removal of household waste, garden waste and commercial waste and recycling. Collections are made from a variety of locations including houses, shops and schools, within the Bath & North East Somerset Council area. It includes several different types of operational roles and we are keen to encourage training and development.
Team Leader (LGV) Waste Collections (Post 41588) - £31,364 per annum
If you have a Category C driving licence, can stay calm under pressure, have the ability to lead a crew and like working outdoors, then this may be the perfect job for you.
You will be responsible for operating and driving waste and recycling collection vehicles ensuring that all driver regulations are followed, and for the collection of waste and recycling from a variety of locations.
You must be physically fit, prepared to provide a high standard of service to the community, enjoy helping the public and working as part of a team.
You will take responsibility for supervising the crew in your vehicle, and ensuring that the crew follow the Council's health & safety requirements operating to set quality standards.
Core hours will be 37 hours per week. Candidates must be prepared to be flexible with a typical shift being between 7am and 3pm.
You will be expected to work Bank Holidays unless they are specifically booked as holiday. You will also be expected to work for 3 Saturdays following Christmas and New Year during which time no holiday may be booked.
