The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Senior Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer with overall supervision and management of either an Aircraft Maintenance Squadron , a Maintenance Squadron , an Equipment Maintenance Squadron or a Component Maintenance Squadron at an Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) unit-equipped or associate unit.

RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the squadron. Manages assigned maintenance resources and ensures production meets operational requirements and technical standards. Recommends procedural and technical improvements and modifications.
2. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities to include personnel and position management, equal opportunity, security, and safety. Advises employees regarding policies, procedures and directives of management. Maintains sound positions management practice when determining types and numbers of positions to support the organizational mission.
3. Represents organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolves significant problems that arise.

• Work under the supervision of a Foreman who issues instructions on work sequences, procedures, methods, and deadlines, and relies on the incumbent to assure that work assignments are carried out by other members of the group.
• Pass on to other workers instructions received from supervisor, and starts work (e.g., by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led).
• Work along with other workers, setting the pace.
• Perform processing work, selects and applies proper barrier materials and preservatives, cleans metal using established methods, dries parts with appropriate methods to insure elimination of corrosion.
• Operate electric, gasoline or diesel-powered forklifts that can lift up to 40,000 pounds capacity and higher than 168 inches.
• Process all hazardous waste generated by the employee in accordance with prescribed procedures as established by the Environmental Protection Division.

• You will assess an organization's progress towards meeting navigation and ship handling program goals.
• You will prepare documents, files, receipts, and other paperwork in accordance with applicable records management processes and procedures.
• You will monitor the operation of waterfront activities and assets (e.g., port control, service craft, fleet assets) to support port service requirements.
• You will brief management on navigational assessment findings and recommendations.

• You will lead other Motor Vehicle Operators in the following grades: 1-WG-08, 2-WG-06, l-WG-5, 2-WG-07
• You will pass on to other workers the instructions received from the supervisor and Dispatcher to get started (by assigning tasks to be performed).
• You will ensure that-there is enough work to keep individuals busy.
• You will drive one or more trucks, such as platform trucks, van trucks, stake trucks, refueling trucks, tractor trailer with semi-trailer or dump trucks.
• You will determine the manner and sequence of loading cargo to achieve load balance and adequate protection for fragile items.
• You will operate motor coaches to transport passengers on long distance trips. Buses are driven over public roads at highway speeds.
• You will perform operator maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and air pressure in tires, and cleaning and washing vehicles.

This Transportation Security Manager position is located Sacramento International Airport (SMF), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Managing screening checkpoints that are central to TSA objectives that serve to protect the traveling public by preventing any deadly or dangerous objects from being transported onto an aircraft.
• Recognizing and recommending correction of improper use or application of equipment, providing guidance to subordinates, and answering routine questions presented by subordinates.
• Managing and supporting the collections of various performance metrics in an effort to identify areas in need of process improvement and systemic or individual weaknesses, vulnerabilities, or inefficiencies in the screening process.
• Coordinating national and local crisis management and incident response protocols.
• Recognizing and understanding the customer service needs of the traveling public and balances these needs with safety and security in mind.
• Working cooperatively with airport stakeholders in furtherance of the TSA mission.
• Monitoring individual performance and providing frequent communication in order to promote screener development.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Onsite Hiring Manager  and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Shifts: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday

Hourly Rate: $25/hr. (bi-weekly pay)

What we’re looking for 

• Education: High school diploma or GED is required 
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience is required 
• Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred 

Preferred Qualifications/Certification:

• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Successfully pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening.
