YOUR ROLE

Working within a high performing team, your role will be to procure air freight costs and flights, book and process export shipments on an allocation or adhoc basis to strict deadlines. From an import perspective you will also plan and monitor full utilisation of trucks. You will also be responsible for maintaining quality standards in security, health and safety as well as that of the environment in relation to these three key areas.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Capacity procurement and rate negotiation on scheduled flights, charter and part charter services.
• Export: Produce and prepare documents for transit of cargo, ensure customs declarations, security checks are complete and issue check certificates. You will also follow standard operating procedures (SOP's), create accurate accruals, recover compromised route plans, negotiate spot rates, increase or decrease allocations, optimise processes and support safe unit load device (ULD) builds and manage ULD equipment.
• Import: Truck planning and optimisation, ensuring a high level of communication with UK branch, Airport Transfer and warehouse colleagues in the UK, Frankfurt and Amsterdam; build strong relationships with stakeholders internally and externally too; Frankfurt Pallet Management, issue management, performance management, volume reporting, truck P&L responsibility and closing down outstanding customs matters.
• From a QSHE perspective you will ensure you cooperate with all stakeholders and are aware of company procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure continuous Improvement is driven operationally through the corrective and preventive action process (CAPA), Supplier Management and by actively promoting a culture of continual improvement.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory and legislative authorities. (i.e., Full Import and export compliance ETSF regulations and aviation security regulations).
• Ensure a safe system of work and a safe working environment is maintained.at all times, by addressing unsafe acts, full compliance with ISO 45001 standards and related Kuehne+Nagel work instructions and guidance.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Demonstrable experience within air freight specifically with capacity and rate negotiation experience on commercial and charter carriers.
• Experience of governance and control in relation to Dangerous Goods, Customs and Aviation Security.
• You will have a good understanding of Aircraft types and configurations, routings and equipment experience.
• Understanding of ULD builds.
• You'll be a skilled communicator with great speaking and listening skills as well as the capability to negotiate, be persuasive and work collaboratively.
• You'll have strong commercial acumen, be resourceful and be proficient in time management, organisation and planning.
• With a methodical and logical approach, you'll be able to solve complex issues and make sound business decisions.
• Good IT skills specifically Microsoft office packages.

SELF-EMPLOYED VEHICLE COLLECTION AND DELIVERY DRIVER / TRADE PLATE DRIVER PART/FULL TIME

What do I need? - No experience is needed as a full 2-day technical service familiarisation seminar available, at a site local to you. You do not need your own vehicle and there is no initial outlay of any cost. We do however require the following (essential):

• Held a full UK Manual Driver Licence for at least 2 years (registered to your current home address).
• No more than 9 points on your licence (and no serious motoring offences).
• Aged 21 or over (for insurance purposes).
• Are punctual and reliable with a polite and professional demeanour.
• Excellent customer service skills.

What will I be doing? - You will be collecting a variety of different vehicles from clients, checking they are safe for you to drive and delivering these to the required destination. On some occasions you may carry out an inspection on the vehicles.

The Air Logistics Customer Care Specialist will be responsible for managing end-to-end operations for our customers in the aerospace sector. YOUR ROLE

Hours are: 8am to 4.30pm &/or 12noon to 9pm - alternate Saturdays with a week day in lieu for the Saturday - The role of the Logistics & Supply Chain Specialist is to support the company in achieving the highest performance possible within its operational functions on client sites, they are responsible for all aspects of the warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of product for client, helping to improve processes and performance whilst also championing safety and demonstrating good general practices.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive shipments of equipment
• Add shipment / deliveries into Quick inventory system and other agreed upon client
  systems
• Pack equipment onsite and prepare outbound shipments for transport
• Maintain all asset inventory records for the site and conduct regular reporting
• Maintain chain of custody of assets and diligently manage inventory of Quick's
  exclusively controlled assets and storage spaces
• Prepare assets for installation into production including but not limited to the following activities: unboxing, asset tagging, waste packaging removal, and aggregating required install components
• Receive assets removed from production spaces and process for storage, disposal,
  shipment or redeployment, whilst maintaining inventory records and chain of custody
• Follow all company SOP's which will include the above information and specific
  operating details
• Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all the equipment and will be expected to
  perform duties as directed by management.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Customer Service experience required
• Ability to use a computer and various software packages (ideally Inventory Systems)
• Experience in the Warehousing or Logistics industries essential
