About our School
Apple Orchard is an expanding therapeutic community with a school attached. All young people in our care have significant SEMH concerns and as such we are looking for a teacher that has taught at GCSE and A Level with a passion to work with those who are most vulnerable and one who can build trusting, solid relationships.
Apple Orchard School is a very important part of the Apple Orchard community and complements the work done by the care and therapy staff. The Head Teacher leads the experienced team of teachers and teaching assistants who between them offer a wide range of subjects in line with a modified National Curriculum.
Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and committed professional to join in the continued development and success of the school. The successful candidate will have:

Requirements
- Understanding of the Secondary Science Curriculum, including the ability to teach complex concepts in an accessible manner (GCSE - Post 16).
- A degree in a science related field and a teaching qualification PGCE/ QTS / QTLS or a willingness to complete a teaching qualification
