Summary: The team is composed of a mix of business analysts and software developers integrated in the APAC Passenger Service train, and delivers product increments as per the train backlog with a specific specialization:
- Onload functionality (the Sydney team is owning this product and fully accountable for its evolution)
- Community developement on the DCS application
- Support for APAC carriers and projects (JAL, NH...)
The team manager is responsible for developing team members in line with business needs, anchoring the team in APAC context and supporting the Passenger Service train in the region as individual contributor.
The successful candidate will be a servant leader, responsible for ensuring the team is performing optimally:
- High level of engagement, team building
- Skills aligned with business needs
- Individual follow up: job mentoring and coaching, performance review
- Supporting recruitment
S/he also participates to the Passenger Service train as individual contributor, within the following fields:
- Technical or functional component expert, contributing as a component owner or supporting the transversal team on specific topics
- Epic owner: follow a topic, end to end, through the portfolio Kanban (Funnel, Analyzing, Backlog, Implementation, Done) – particularly on projects involving APAC customers or Community Projects"
Main Responsibilities:
Team Management (General duties)
Individual Team Member Management
Individual contributor to SaFE trains
Management of ICT Security for the service
Direct ICT operations and establish priorities between system developments, maintenance and operations
Analyse information needs and identify technologies to address such needs
Jobholder profile:
Education: Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
Bachelors or Master's degree in IT/Computer Science related fields
Experience: At least two years of relevant experience including:
Experience with Agile methodologies (ideally SAFe)
Airline Industry
Large scale project in an operational context
Business Understanding: Extensive experience as a Manager, Business Analyst or Software Developer for DCS or another Altea product.
Computing skills: Jira, Incident Management Tool, Software Development Life Cycle, C++/ Java/ Python
