Business Analyst Responsibilities
We are looking for a methodical business analyst to build strong market intelligent data, mapping to business growth opportunity segments, survey customer preferences and statistical data in order to support top managers for their decision making process regarding business opportunities identity, competitions, product offerings, market segments focus, prices and promotions.
The successful business analyst will be able to analyze autonomously qualitative data, trends, strategies and competition aiming at increasing competitiveness & business growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Identify business growth opportunities via strong market research capabilities, intelligent and methodologies to suggest business directions or changes to senior management using analytics to support the recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes
• Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
• Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time business operational issues
• Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning
• Interpret, evaluate and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making
• Plan and coordinate the development of primary and secondary market research studies in support of strategic planning and specific business initiatives, as required and presents findings of studies to top managers
• Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
• Collecting data on customers, consumers, competitors and market place and consolidating information into actionable items, reports and presentations
• Understanding business objectives and designing surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences
• Compiling and analyzing statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it

• Evaluate program methodology and key data to ensure that data on the releases are accurate and the angle of the release is correct

• Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models
• Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes
Requirements
· Proven market research analysis experience
· Strong business sense, strategic & logic
· Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Excellent knowledge of statistical packages , databases and MS Office
· Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen
· Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc)
· Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling and mining
· Strong analytical and critical thinking
· BS degree in Statistics, Business, Marketing or related field
· Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
· Ability to work independently and with others
