Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Business Continuity Planner - Lvl 4 - Strategy & Policy Team Lead to join our team!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supports Agency planning for mission assurance of operational and business functions.
- Interprets government regulations, applicable codes, and advises government management on the best course of action to ensure compliance.
- Prepares and conducts briefings and overviews to education Agency personnel.
- Develops programs, procedures and contingency plans based on a risk approach and proposes solutions that monitor, evaluate and enable resolution of safety and continuity of operations compliance.
- Prepares and submits positions and information papers in response to government requirements.
- Demonstrates considerable expertise in providing solutions and recommendations based on internal and external factors.
- Cognizant of national policies and provides expertise to act as trusted advisor to senior leadership.
- Monitors contingency plan exercises, assesses plan effectiveness, and recommends plan improvements to improve responses to emergencies.
- Able to provide strategic direction in leading activities in support of team and enterprise objectives.
- Develops and implements multi-year strategic management plan supporting Continuity of Operations, DCIP and Risk Management.
- Oversees the development/maintenance of the Agency-level Continuity of Operations Plan.
- Oversees the development of annual Task Critical Asset List.
- Provides recommendations for NGA input to annual Department of Defense Intel Sector DCIP assessment.
- Prepares risk decision documentation for NGA DCIP program.
- Coordinates Risk Mitigation Plans for DCIP and Business Continuity programs.
- Assists Agency with Lapse of Appropriations/Furlough Planning efforts.
- Develops and maintains Lapse of Appropriations/Furlough Standard Operating Procedures and Checklists.
- Support NGA Adaptive Planning efforts through development of Mission Assurance plans/appendices to NGA CONPLANs, OPLANs and specifically GEOINT Functional Support Plans.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Graduate Degree or equivalent experience within related field
- Experience in three or more areas of Continuity of Government, Continuity of Operations, Information Technology Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Planning, Crisis Management, Information Security/Operations, Continuity Strategic Planning and Policy, Enterprise Risk Management, and participation in national level homeland security or continuity of operations exercises.
- FEMA Level 1 (PCP) Certification within 180 days of start date
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Associated Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) Certification desired
- Risk Management Experience
- Adaptive Planning & Strategic Workforce Planning experience
- PMP-RMP

Salary Range:
$81,500.00 - $142,600.00
