SRG is working with a leading soft drinks manufacturer based in Herefordshire who are now looking for a QA Lab Technician to join the team. The role will be a hands-on role where you will be operating machines and instruments, doings sensory analysis on mixes and looking at the microbiology and testing of finished products. Recent Chemistry graduates will be considered and are encouraged to apply, this role would suit candidates with prior industrial experience within the beverage industry.
Working Hours: Rotating shift pattern 6am-6pm for 4 weeks followed by 6pm-6am for 2 weeks - Full UK driving licence and car needed
Role / Description

• Verifying and monitoring all quality aspects
• Use HPLC to test batches, raw materials and lines
• Testing the microbiology of products to ensure they meet traceability standards
• Quality checks and completion of documents and internal audits
• Monitoring production activities to ensure compliance to customer specifications
• Investigating and reporting on customer complaints

Requirements

• Good work ethic, hands-on approach and a willingness to learn
• UK driving licence and car
• Experience in HPLC and method development is advantageous

Principal build contractor are looking for a Senior/Site Engineer for a QA/Checking role on the construction of a new build student accommodation project. Due to some of the nature of works involved it requires an engineer that has current/previous experience working on projects that include reinforced concrete frames/structures.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager your primary role will be the supervision for the groundworks/frame contractor ensuring that their setting out works are completed and correctly checked for the main building for a new student accommodation building which also includes a reinforced concrete basement, the provision of as built records, QA documentation as well as input with any planning and design issues. You will also be involved with site progress meetings providing input into the delivery of the project

CSCS Card will be a mandatory requirement as well as a proven track record doing a QA engineer role

Role & Responsibilities:
Liaising with Manufacturing teams to ensure management systems, policies and procedures are deployed and measured through audits

Conducting internal audits & hygiene inspections

Supporting customer complaints responses and internal investigations

Maintaining the IMS system, reviewing procedures, work instructions and master forms

Drive a continuous improvement culture, working with departments to improve quality, reduce waste and cost control

Coordinate and develop environmental operations to ensure compliance and permit reviews

Carry out site inspections and audits for environmental compliance

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Qualified to degree level, or equivalent.

Formal Environmental training.

ISO 14001 training.

HACCP trained

Waste management plans and ideally carbon and energy reporting experience.

Experience of designing remediation plans to address manufacturing and process quality issues.

14:00 to 20:00

You will be paid £12.50 per hour with pay further increasing after 13 weeks
