Effective Building and Consultancy Experienced Building Inspector Employer: Effective Building Consultancy  ABN 40 166 371 526 Location: Sydney NSW Civil/Structural Engineering (Engineering) Full time 38 hours per week Salary: $75,000 per year + superannuation   Responsibilities: • Building Defects inspections to identify breaches or non-compliances ins accordance with the Home Building Act and reporting non-compliance in accordance with NCAT requirements. • Forensic Investigations for Remedial Building Issues in relations to Concrete Cancer, Water Proofing Issues, Mould growth, Building Movements, Water Ingress and preparation of technical solution and cost-effective design methods. • Causation Report, Scope of works and Rectification supervision for Strata Complex. • Home Warranty Insurance Assessor for Icare HBCF major or minor defects reporting. • Building Defects negotiations with Contractors, Builders, Developers, Lawyers, Homeowners, the office of Fair trading, and other Expert Witness Consultants • Advice and interpretation of Building Regulations, National Construction Code (BCA “Building Code of Australia”), Australian Standards, and Industry Manufacture Specifications. • Assessing good building practice and issuing site instructions as required. • Assessment of contractor variations and extension of times and reply as required under the Building Payment Act • Assistance in lodging Development Applications and Complying Development for complicated Development Sites including negotiations with Local Councils, and State Planning NSW for Property Rezoning applications. • Building Certificate Approvals for Non-compliance and Unlawful works rectification orders. • Superintendent Client Consultancy Services to manage Project from Designs to handover including tender packages, management of tender process, and feasibility studies. • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices   Qualification, Experience & Skills required · Must have a Civil or Structural Bachelor Degree or higher · Must have at least 2 years highly relevant experience as a building inspector, civil engineer, construction project manager/estimator in the construction industry · Must have a valid driver license · Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail · Excellent communication and teamwork abilities   What We Offer: • Competitive salary and benefits package • Opportunities for professional growth and development • A supportive and collaborative work environment • Involvement in diverse and challenging projects   How to Apply: Interested applicants are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience to service@effectivebuilding.com.au   We look forward to welcoming you to our team! About the Role
This is a fabulous opportunity for a Licensed Builder / Building Inspector to join their growing team in Parramatta. This is an estimated 3-month temporary assignment with a strong potential to extend. 
 
Working within the Estate Management Division, you will be required to provide region-based services, project management, reviewing assessment and reports to ensure compliance with the Home Building Act. This role is purely office based and no field work .
