PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Impacts and Assurance Associate will be responsible for supporting smallholder engagement and representation and also facilitating GPSNR’s capacity building projects. This role will also contribute to other organisational workstreams such as communications, admin support, and finance. In addition, the role will support grant management and reporting for GPSNR’s smallholder engagement and capacity building activities.

Founded in 2019, the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber is an international,
multistakeholder, voluntary membership organisation, with a mission to lead improvements in the socioeconomic and environmental performance of the natural rubber value chain. GPSNR currently has 250+ members which represents over 55% of global natural rubber volume.

ABOUT YOU
You are driven by a passion to generate meaningful change in the tropical commodity sector,
particularly through enhancing the livelihoods and capabilities of smallholder farmers. Your main responsibilities include facilitating smallholder participation in the platform, ensuring they are actively engaged and well-informed about ongoing initiatives. With excellent communication and project management skills, you will also support logistics and capacity-building projects for smallholders. You work well independently, are adaptable to changing conditions, and can collaborate effectively with team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate and manage smallholder participation in various GPSNR workstreams such as the assurance model and shared responsibility, and help support the implementation of the smallholder policy-equivalent in the platform.
- Engage with GPSNR smallholder members, coordinate national and international engagements, and handle logistics for key events and meetings, including travel arrangements and translation services.
- Co-facilitate the Smallholder Representation and Capacity Building Working Group (SCB WG), assist in strategy development and implementation, and manage logistics for meetings.
- Facilitate capacity building projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals and deliver impactful outcomes.
- Handle administrative and financial operations to support capacity building and smallholder engagement activities.
- Support the communications team in activities related to capacity building and smallholder engagement, including developing relevant communication content.
- Provide support to other workstreams/working groups, organizational processes, and collaborate with team members to plan and execute GPSNR events and activities.
- Manage and enhance the GPSNR Digital Knowledge Sharing Platform, developing targeted content for smallholders and boosting user engagement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

ADVANTAGEOUS COMPETENCES & QUALIFICATIONS
● Proficiency in second languages.
● Prior experience in engaging with smallholder communities.
● Familiarity with working in a multistakeholder, international environment.
● Familiarity with digital platforms to enhance engagement on the Knowledge Sharing Platform.
