Croydon Health Services offers a new and exciting opportunity to join the Patient Safety Team in the role of Quality Improvement and Investigation Lead. This is a pivotal position in our Safety team, supporting clinical teams, to ensure safe and effective care to the people of Croydon, who use our services. This post will lead the investigation function, overseeing a small team, to provide a leadership, investigatory expertise, whilst ensuring quality-led reporting to the Trust's senior management team. This post-holder will be responsible for the identification of lessons learned as a result of effective incident and complaint investigation.

You will need extensive experience in safety incident investigation methodology, ideally in health care but similar experience in environments such as corporate or public sector investigatory roles will be welcome.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates leadership and guidance to staff to ensure that the quality assurance plan, policies, processes, and procedures are established, current, and followed by all laboratory staff.
• Coordinates a program of auditing to find deviations, procedural drifts and non-conformance to policies and operating procedures. Successfully tracks and trends product/service non-conformance and its possible consequences. Works with supervisors/ section leads to develop improvement plans if required. Implement tools to ensure sustained improvement is occurring, audits those tools to ensure sustained improvement. Establish and maintain improvement plans as necessary.  Participate in planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental monitoring tools (i.e. dashboards, productivity). Prepares and reports all findings to the Laboratory leadership team and committees as required.
• Prepare reports and oversee departmental documentation in accordance with various regulatory agencies, including but not limited to AABB, CAP, SDDOH, TJC and CMS. Maintains procedures to ensure appropriate and immediate response to and resolution of all issues and concerns. Responsible to investigate and respond to concerns brought forward (complaints, errors, accidents, or concerns) as appropriate. Monitor occurrence/incident reports and report findings to laboratory management. Oversee plans for improving processes and workflow to ensure patient safety and quality of services provided.
• Participate in cost control activities by seeking the most effective method of delivering high quality services and maintains an awareness of the cost impact of decision and actions. Ensures that operational controls are in place to assure the provision of high quality and cost-effective services. Will proactively identify opportunities for, and participate in, ongoing performance and process improvement activities relating to business performance. Assists senior laboratory leadership with technical aspects of goals, objectives, tactics, and long-range planning of the laboratory.
• Creates an environment in which people feel valued, respected, and energized to explore new methods of doing business, generating revenue, and taking calculated risks. Develops employees based on linkage to business requirements and ensures employees are competent to manage change.

Additional Requirements

Required:

Scope of work

Drives the Quality, Safety, and Experience (QSE) program for their assigned hospital(s) and/or other service area(s). Working with key stakeholders such as the Executive Team, Directors, Medical Directors, and Medical Staff. This individual will understand Corewell Health system-level and local goals, and to co-develop the roadmap of work necessary to achieve them. Works with other QSE leadership to adhere to best practice in implementing and operationalizing evidence-based practice and improvement methodology that is in alignment with System QSE.

• Provides guidance and feedback to improvement teams and leaders on skill development and team effectiveness. Actively participates and contributes to System-wide training courses on quality, safety, and experience.
• Creating, maintaining, communicating, and executing program goals, strategy, and roadmap. Liaisons with executive team within the regional location. Ability to evaluate performance of location in the context of the overall Corewell Health performance in QSE. Can bring insights and best practice to advance the performance of the regional location.
• Maintain effective business partnerships to ensure goals and understood and work is prioritized appropriately to achieve those goals. Use of data and influence to highlight strengths and success as well as opportunities for improved performance. Ability to coach towards excellence and overcome barriers to achieve outcomes.
• Coordinates and integrates work of improvement teams members throughout their hospital or other designated area while maintaining a visible leadership presence locally and within the corporate team, as appropriate. Connects with regional and system functional leadership to stays abreast of new developments in healthcare quality, safety, and experience and provides updates and reference material to the Spectrum Health Quality Committees including board subcommittees as required.
• Participates with system staff to implement clinical outcome measures for quality improvement, patient and staff safety, patient/family experience, cost and complication reduction, benchmarking, and the implementation of evidence-based medicine.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing or related field
• Preferred Master's Degree MPH, MBA or other related area
• 10 years of relevant experience Performance management, quality improvement, patient safety, patient experience and outcome reporting Required
• 5 years of relevant experience leadership role in a healthcare environment. Required
• Creating, communicating, and executing on vision, strategy, and roadmaps, building relationships with diverse stakeholders, and leading and influencing cross-functional teams in creating successful initiatives, without formal authority. Required
• Experience in working with nursing leaders and physicians from diverse backgrounds and perspectives in acute, ambulatory, chronic, and preventive care environments. Required
• Experience in hospitals in a community hospital private practice environment. Required
• Clinical related experience. Preferred
• LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan preferred

Customer Service is responsible for establishing, maintaining and enhancing customer business through contract administration, customer orders, and problem resolution.

Performance Monitoring is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reviewing customer contact quality.

Role summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Manager of Performance Monitoring and Analytics to lead our team in optimizing the performance of our contact center through data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing performance monitoring and analytics teams, as well as proficiency using Verint Analytics tools to drive an insight-driven quality management program. This position is essential to ensuring that our contact center operates effectively, delivering exceptional customer experiences and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities in this role

• Lead a team of performance monitoring and analytics professionals to ensure accurate tracking and analysis of key metrics related to call volume, response times, agent performance, customer satisfaction, as well as other relevant KPIs.
• Manage the use of Verint Analytics tools to collect, analyze, and interpret data in order to provide actionable insights that drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify performance gaps, trends, and enhancement opportunities within the contact center operations.
• Create and implement a comprehensive, insight-driven quality management program that supports the ongoing enhancement of agent performance, customer satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency.
• Monitor and assess the efficacy of quality management strategies, adjusting processes as necessary to meet shifting business requirements and objectives.
• Communicate performance insights to leadership on a regular basis, delivering clear and concise reports and presentations that inform decision-making and drive strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate training and development initiatives for the performance monitoring and analytics staff, ensuring that their skills and knowledge remain current with industry standards and technological advances.
• Promote a culture of data-driven decision making, collaboration, and innovation throughout the team and contact center.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, or a related discipline is required

· 7 years and up years of experience leading performance monitoring and analytics teams in a contact center setting.

· Extensive knowledge of using Verint Analytics tools or comparable contact center analytics platforms.

· A comprehensive comprehension of contact center operations, performance metrics, and quality management principles.

· Proven track record of implementing insight-driven quality management programs that increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

· Outstanding analytic abilities, including the capacity to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

· Strong leadership and team management skills, with proven ability to motivate, mentor, and develop team members.

· Effective communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated experience presenting insights to leadership and stakeholders.

· Attentive to detail, organized, and capable of juggling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
