Are you a dedicated team player with a passion for excellence? We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative on our night shift to join our dynamic team at our Heathrow location. If you have previous experience in a warehouse environment and hold a Reach Truck license, we want to hear from you!
Location: Heathrow, UK
Hours: 18:00 to 6:00 4 on/4 off
Salary: £26,326 per annum, with additional allowances:
- £3,500 shift allowance
- £2,000 ULD allowance for trained ULD builders
What Will You Be Doing?
As a Warehouse Operative , you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Complete all ULD builds to Airlines specifications as instructed by LHR Gateway. Ensure Aircraft safety is maintained at all times by completing builds to satisfactory standard. Responsibility for final QC (quality check) and subsequent sign off of ULD build sheet. Ensure all related documentation is completed accurately and any issues reported to LHR Gateway. Ensuring Warehouse access is restricted to authorised personnel only.
- Freight Handling: Receiving inbound freight using the GXD system & WMS and booking in and processing outbound freight using the same systems.
- Forklift Operations: Safely loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift.
- Freight Sorting: Sorting and splitting freight according to customer SOP's
- Manual Handling: Frequently performing manual handling tasks.
- Material Handling Equipment: Using all MHE (Material Handling Equipment) as trained.
About You
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- ULD (Unit Load Device) Build experience.
- Warehouse Experience: Previous experience working within a warehouse environment is essential.
- Reach Truck License: Holding a Reach Truck license is advantageous for this position.
- Desirable License: Possession of a Counterbalance license would be advantageous.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Time Management: Excellent timekeeping and attendance are essential qualities.
