Christian Bassett is recruiting a Store Design & Planning Project Manager for a Luxury Watch & Jewellery company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work closely with the Group Store Planning Retail Department to lead and manage projects for boutique openings, renovation, expansions, and closings.
• Liaise with landlords, architects, contractors on maintenance and renovation for all currently opened boutiques.
• Monitor & benchmark competitors’ retail networks and identify opportunities for new boutique openings or relocations.
• Coordinate with all internal cross-functional partners (Operations, Security, IT, etc.) to validate all project timelines are aligned, and team requirements and standards are incorporated into the project plan.
• Design, draw detailed plans, and coordinate various stages of the construction.
• Liaise with approved supplier for installation of new or modification of existing boutiques display and ensure the store execution aligns with the brand’s standards and requirements.
• Maintenance and consolidation of interior design, which includes project planning, cost control and onsite supervision to ensure the store renovation or development projects are delivered in a timely and quality manner.
• Control quality and quantity of boutiques material and order from headquarters when they are required.
• Maintain & conduct boutique environment improvements.
• Prepare monthly reports to keep track of the status of various projects and condition of boutiques.
• Work with other departments to ensure boutique information on the internet is updated and accurate at all times.
• Coordinate and work closely with relevant stakeholders, such as end users, landlords, internal teams, consultancies, and contractors.
• Monitor and supervise the work progress from tendering, negotiation to execution.
• Coordinate with the Project team to assist with project documentation.
• Manage the full cycle of the project from planning to delivery and installation depending on the brand’s requirements.
• Conduct validation assessment to ensure proposed designs meet and fulfill the brand's requirements and expectations.
• Investigate technical problems, present the technological capabilities, and manage change requests.
• Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Build and maintain good relationships with Developers, Engineering Consultants, Architects, Contractors, and Designers to explore business opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree holder in Architecture is preferred; degree holder in Interior Design or equivalent would also be considered.
• Knowledge in design, architecture or engineering specifications for stores is a great advantage.
• Proficient in architecture software (Autocad) and MS Project.
• Minimum 5 years of experience involving in retail store interior design project management; experience in fashion, jewellery, FMCG, F&B brands or equivalent will be considered.
• In-house experience in retail brands is a must.
• Detail-minded as well as having excellent communication and interpersonal skills and with a high level of aesthetic flair.
• Independent, strong planning and management skills with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel domestically & internationally.
