Successful applicants will be part of a small team assisting with daily set up, preparation and maintenance of our on-mountain ski and snowboard racecourses. Working alongside Mountain Operations Departments including Grooming and Lifts, you will work on small and large events, from club races through to internationally recognised races on some of Thredbo’s best terrain, as well as assisting with our many on mountain events which run throughout the season. About the role

We are currently seeking an energetic and well-rounded professional Conference & Event Organiser to lead our Banquet Team. As a Conference & Event Organiser you will be instrumental in the implementation and maintenance of Stamford Plaza Brisbane’s philosophy of providing exemplary service for all Conferences and Events. 

 Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 2 years' experience in leading Banquet Operations in a 5 star Hotel environment
Must have an RSA Certificate
Minimum Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent

Skills and Responsibilities:

Coordinate services for conference, events, functions, banquet and seminars.
Effectively supervise and motivate your team
Be organised and have an eye for detail
Be able to multi task in a fast paced environment while constantly maintaining a calm demeanour
Strong time management skills
Ability to build strong customer relationships 
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
A strong understanding of budgeting and effective rostering and cost management
Ability to work effectively with the catering sales team to achieve a shared goal
Flexibility of working afternoons and evenings including weekends and public holidays
