The University Hospitality Department provides catering to students, staff and external customers throughout the academic year and during the summer months. There are numerous outlets run by the Hospitality Department offering a range of food and drink options.

We have a vacancy for general Porter in in the hospitality department. This role will be supporting the food outlets in the west of campus. As a Kitchen Porter you will be responsible for delivering and receiving stock, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, operating dishwashers and carrying out daily cleaning of kitchen equipment, cutlery and crockery as well as setting up tables and furniture.

The successful candidate should work well within a team and have experience of working in a kitchen porter/general porter role and providing an excellent standard of customer service.

During term time the role is mainly Mon-Fri with occasional weekend requirements. During the summer there is an increased requirement for weekend and late evening shifts to be covered on a 5 out of 7 days per week contract (36.5 hours per week). About the Sales, Marketing & International Directorate:
The Sales, Marketing & International Directorate provides value to the U.S Postal Service and its stakeholders by auditing and reviewing data collection systems, operations, as well as products or services related to sales and customer relations, marketing, product innovation, global business, mail entry and payment technology, and corporate communications issues. The directorate often uses complex data analysis of payment, tracking, and other systems to identify trends. Staff combine their data trends with evaluations of policy, field observations, interviews, and more to identify opportunities to strengthen controls and make data-driven recommendations.

About the Position: The Auditor role requires the individual to be highly motivated and experienced in conducting program and performance audits. The employee is to serve as a full-performance senior member of an audit team conducting systematic performance, financial, or attestation reviews and audits of Postal Service programs and operations, including assessments of efficiency, adequacy of internal controls; compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and/or contracts; and detection of fraud, waste, and abuse.

The employee is expected to be skilled in performing all necessary functions of an audit throughout the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases, individually and as a member of an audit team, with limited oversight in accordance with USPS OIG policies and procedures and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards.

A successful candidate will have relevant experience in:

• Functioning as a member in a high-performing team.
• Conducting audits in topic areas which are complex or in emerging fields, such as fleet electrification and sustainability strategies and programs.
• Designing audit plans, including helping identify objectives, risks, scopes, methodologies, fieldwork, data analysis, and project tasks that provide a clear path for developing convincing findings and actionable recommendations.
• Executing data collection efforts, ensuring that evidence collected is reliable, sufficient, relevant, and properly documented in the project work papers.
• Producing audit deliverables and documentation such as reports, findings, action plans, and workpapers to communicate information clearly, concisely, and accurately to internal and external stakeholders.
• Presenting oral briefings to management and other stakeholders, including communicating project status and results.
• Reviewing and interpreting complex documents such as policies, procedures, contracts, and other financial documents to determine accuracy in accordance with procedures, internal directives, and regulatory requirements.
• Selecting and applying appropriate quantitative and qualitative analytical methods and tools to collect, arrange, process, and present data, develop conclusions; and make recommendations.
• Using critical thinking and audit and programmatic knowledge to identify risks; understand trends and developments; prioritize work; evaluate strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions; develop novel approaches to problems; and reach insightful conclusions.
• Representing the organization in meetings with officials from the Postal Service, other agencies, industry groups, or other internal or and members of external organizations.
• Providing technical expertise, support, and guidance to auditors and other staff.

In-Office Requirement: The USPS OIG values collaboration, teamwork, and effective communication to foster our dynamic working and learning environment. The position adheres to our agency's telework policy to facilitate this and requires an in-office presence of at least two days per pay period. Remote work is not available for this role.
