Taking responsibility for the general maintenance of the property, upkeep of its facilities and the management of the maintenance team, the Maintenance Manager is there to ensure that jobs are completed efficiently to ensure that the guest expectations are met during their stay.

You will be required to allocate responsibilities to the team, complete the daily jobs list and preventative maintenance schedules with an eye for detail and a passion for fixing things!

You must meet time deadlines, liaise with contractors and take responsibility for health and safety on property. You must be organised, an excellent communicator, and a hands-on manager who has excellent attention to detail. Experience of working in a maintenance department of a similar quality hotel is required and knowledge of electrics and health and safety are beneficial. Computer literacy is also key for the compliance and audit part of this role.

To manage and communicate with staff and service users of the Kent Care Homes as required.
To provide management, direction and support to Catering, Domestic Services, Porterage, Maintenance, Health & Safety, building security to ensure Contractual obligations are met at all times
To deliver audited quality services as directed and ensure effective use of resources in providing internal and external customer care ensuring controllable Budgetary spends are achieved or improved on.
To encourage the use of best practice in staff teams and identify individual training needs in line with the homes objectives and ensure systems of supervision are in place.
To continually review the services with Shaw Senior Management and advise on staffing, skill mix and appropriate minimal usage of ancillary agency support.
Assist any re-configuration of services to respond to changing service needs, contract purchasers and legislative aspirations and requirements.
To have knowledge of Shaw policies and procedures and to ensure that all Shaw employees are assisted to comply with these.
To ensure security and confidentiality of records and information relating to Shaw services are maintained.
To organise and run service development and facility user meetings to provide and receive feedback where required.
To manage sites communication requirements, telephone systems and major incident support mechanisms.
In conjunction with the Facility Maintenance person, deliver fire training relative to fire certificates and facility user requirements where required.
Manage and ensure completion of Daily, Weekly, Monthly & PMP maintenance (including Contractor performance), landscaping, health & safety, fire and water testing, Service charges and equipment replacement programs, including Life Cycle, in conjunction with Senior Facilities Manager.
Ensure that up to date and accurate Documentation & Record Keeping is maintained at all times to comply with any external Audit Inspections - planned or ad hoc

General

1. Hours of work typically Mondays to Fridays but with flexibility for any Out of Hours / Weekends as needed

• Maintain and develop a portfolio of reliable engineering contractors that bring value for money, covering all the equipment and asset maintenance needs across the plant.
  
• Lead on most of the significant asset improvement projects, improving operations and safety across the plant.
  
• Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders including: contractors, central Technical Direction, equipment and parts manufacturers, industry specialists, and many others.

Due to continued growth within this unique and exciting segment we are now seeking a Facilities Manager / General Manager to oversee the delivery of all Soft Services (cleaning, catering, mail room & reception) of one of our prestigious clients.

This is a fixed income contract and as such you will work to the parameters and metrics set out within the contract and client expectations.

Directly managing departmental heads, but responsibility for supervisors and frontline colleagues we are looking for someone that can positively engage, empower, influence and lead by example with credibility and passion.

You will have accountability for the following;

• Stakeholder management (including excellent client and customer collaboration)
• Leadership
• Financial performance of the site (SAP or similar financial software experience is a must)

Engineering Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing) Ayrshire

Job Description
I am dealing with a good client of mine who is a large industrial manufacturer to assist them in sourcing an Engineering Maintenance Manager for their site in Ayrshire. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate will come from a mechanical or electrical background and have in-depth knowledge and experience in heavy industry with a proven track record in good manufacturing practice and lean principles.

You will be responsible for all maintenance mechanical and electrical work, automation, site projects and maintenance systems on site. You will work closely with operations to manage the sites' production capacity to deliver on the Group's strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead the maintenance team of fitters and electricians to deliver high performance process efficiency.
* Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills to ensure performance of people and equipment is optimised.
* Comprehensive knowledge and experience of asset management, reliability, maintenance strategy, organisation and systems, including planning, CMMS, preventive and condition-based maintenance.
* Ensure the maintenance function operates on the site requires Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
* Planning and developing PEMAC / CMMS systems to deliver maximum line/process efficiency including energy, plant services and utilities.
* Delivery of KPIs: downtime, uptime, PM schedules and workflow.
* Implement best plant practices in process engineering & maintenance systems involving new technology and design standards.
* Development of the maintenance team's capability and skills, leading performance review, training and individual on the job coaching/mentoring and support to best industry standards.
* Responsible for cost management in the maintenance and engineering functions, delivering costs to weekly KPI budgets including energy and projects.
* Developing Maintenance Lean Systems using tools and techniques to meet continuous improvement targets that are critical to the success and delivery of a high-performance plant.
* Working with external contractors and installations companies to complete in-house maintenance and project work to the required standards.

Essential Skills and Experience

* Qualification in Engineering - mechanical & electrical background, or related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.
* Minimum 10 years' maintenance/engineering management experience is essential; heavy industry experience is an advantage.
* Knowledge of maintenance strategies e.g. RCM, TPM, Asset Management are desirable.
* Knowledge and experience to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory standards.
* Reduces complexity and increases efficiency in processes to maximise outcome/return.
* Leads, by example, with a "can do" approach, passion, energy and a strong work ethic.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Very strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
* Drive to exceed goals and push self and others towards high levels of performance.
* Makes good decisions and delegates responsibility and accountability to the appropriate level.
* Understands the importance of managing and developing people.
* Creates a climate in which people can do their best.
* Open to change with a capacity to deal comfortably with risk and uncertainty.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
