What you will do
The HVAC Operations &Maintenance Operations Manager is part of our Building Technologies & Solutions business with Johnson Controls. This position will be working onsite at a local customer location managing the day-to-day operations of their facilities. Oversee the contract, supervise employees, strategic partner with the executives of our client on projects and spend. Ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with strong knowledge of the HVAC industry. Experience in facilities or any type of management role.
This is a technical lead and business manager position responsible for contract execution and financial objectives of high-tech Operations & Maintenance business with multiple Support Services. Leads assigned staff on individual contracts or a group of smaller contracts typically up to $5.0M in size.
As a Technical Operations Manager, you will manage the technology and resources at our P3 facilities to ensure the Building Management systems and OT Systems are safely and effectively maintained. You will use your knowledge and expertise to manage JCI’s operational risk and drive greater efficiencies in these systems.
How you will do it
Leads an operational team to provide the service offerings to assigned account(s) for the purpose of delivering optimized workplace environments and manages the real estate/facility management budgets for customer.
Manage, direct and schedule the short and long-term activities required to meet the maintenance standards for our Building Management and OT Systems.
Take a lead role in the development of the technical team, including recruiting and hiring. Manage and supervise O&M Specialists and Technicians in the delivery of operations and maintenance tasks. Develop training plans for enhancing the skills of these team members.
Review and approve expenditures for tools, equipment and materials required for the maintenance of our systems and assets.
Provide technical and management direction for all Building Management and OT services, utilizing available JCI resources to reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to operations and maintenance staff to achieve resolution of complex problems.
What we look for
Required
High School, Technical School or similar or equivalent work experience
Five years of HVAC/Facilities experience/or a parallel industry
Two years of management leadership experience
Technical ability to program and develop graphic display of controls
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Operations knowledge of disciplines in Engineering, sales and manufacturing.
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or similar or equivalent work experience
Ten plus years of experience in the HVAC industry
Five years of management leadership experience
Contracts and negotiation experience
Knowledge of Health care and joint commissioning process
