We are a leading textile manufacturer known for our commitment to quality and innovation. As we continue to expand our operations, we are currently seeking a dedicated Machine Operative to join our production team.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Machine Operative, you will be responsible for operating a HAYMA slitting machine. Your primary duties will include:

Placing blocks of foam onto the machine for cutting to specific sizes.
Packing materials once they are cut to size.
Recording quantities of products cut on an order sheet.
General production work to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.
Requirements:

Previous experience as a machine operative or similar role is preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Attention to detail and precision in handling materials.
Good record-keeping skills for order sheets.
Willingness to work night shifts (22:00 - 06:00) from Monday to Friday.

This role focuses on general grounds upkeep at wastewater sites across the region.

The position is based in Oldham, but requires travel to various locations, occasionally as far as Crewe and Whitehaven, typically working in small teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine groundskeeping duties, including grass trimming, hedge cutting, and leaf blowing to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of sites.
• Travel to wastewater sites within the designated area. The role will require travel to various locations with occasional long-distance trips.

Requirements

• A full, valid UK driving licence is required for travel between sites.

FM Conway is currently seeking a HIAB Operator to join our Street Lighting division. As our HIAB Operator you will be working within a team working on electrical lighting installations across a range of high-profile projects in Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, Camden and Brent.

The duties of the role will include:

-Working within health and safety plans, safe systems of work and risk assessments

-Interpreting scaled drawings of basic electrical installations and detailed drawings of underground cabling

-Undertaking excavations, installations & takedowns of street lighting furniture

-Ensuring that all site works are executed in a timely and cost-efficient manner whilst adhering to company health & safety processes & procedures and to maintain regular liaison with supervisors

-Maintaining plant, vehicle and materials record sheets to support the works programme as well as ensuring all plant is fit for purpose and maintained to required standards

What skills and experience do you need?

To be considered for our HIAB Operator role you will have previous experience of working in the Street Lighting industry and as a minimum you will hold the following certifications:

-HGV Class 2 license

-NPORS, ALLMI, CPCS Lorry Loader operator

-NRSWA Units 1-9

This role will involve travel to other FM Conway and customer locations, and therefore the job holder must be able to drive and possess a full UK driving licence.
