About the Opportunity:
The Production Technician (PT) performs various production processes, which are intricate and complicated in nature and specific to the construction of x-ray tubes, and related products. The PT manufactures products and components to meet agreed quality, time-scale and cost objectives, and will take ownership of the process and improvements.

Our customers – Industry leaders in X-ray system applications – greatly value the quality, performance, and cost-effective solutions that we provide. Oxford XT products address applications in analysis, spectroscopy, gauging, and imaging. Our portfolios can be adapted to the individual requirements of our customers. They contribute worldwide to new insights and solutions in many areas of science, research, and development. This position is based full-time on site at the X-Ray Technology office in Scotts, Valley, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- From team production plan, manage personal workload ensuring all milestones are achieved
- Meets all manufacturing schedule time-scales
- All tasks undertaken to be completed within routing time and to schedule
- Supports the implementation of best practice processes, techniques and continuous improvement methods
- Produces product of good workmanship
- Operate within the Quality policy and procedures as defined in the quality system
- Manufactures to existing procedures
- Maintain a flexible attitude and approach to changing requirements and priorities
- Able and willing to go where demands are most urgent
- Recognise team customers, both internal and external and strive to fully satisfy their needs
- Understands the impact of their role on the customer
- Personally, demonstrates highest standards of workmanship
- Maintains high level of workmanship
- Using agreed measures, monitor and report on existing processes, indicating the need for corrective action as required
- Processes operated are running within their proven capability and monitored consistently
- Be aware of and ensure personal compliance with Health and Safety policy and procedures
- Support the daily/weekly/monthly safety audits and close out any corrective actions within agreed time-scale
- Responsible and regular attendance
- On time and regular attendance with clear communication with supervisor when time off is needed
About the Candidate:
The right candidate for this position has prior experience in a similar role within a production enviroment, excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, familiarity with safety regulations and procedures, and attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of industry-specific equipment and tools is highly desirbable.

Salary: In accordance with California law, the expected hourly rate for this position is between $19.50-$23, Non-Exempt. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
