Job Overview
The Assistant Director of Program Management has responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
- Extensive client interaction on a daily basis across cultures and borders
- Leading communications for 30-75 participants in any single program, often divided into groups or cohorts
- Performing highly detailed coordination with faculty members, instructors, external vendors and contractors
Work Interactions
Reporting to the Director of Program Management, the Assistant Director takes an empowered role in managing the delivery of various Executive Custom Program accounts at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. They have responsibilities that include project management, event management, extensive client interaction and program delivery – not only onsite at Georgetown, but also offsite, as well as domestically and internationally, and virtually.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field - preference for Master’s degree
- 4 or more years of experience in program or event management and high-level client interaction
- Outstanding organizational abilities, a critical eye for detail, and outstanding written and oral communications
- Ability to make decisions and to act under pressure
- Ability to succeed with minimal supervision on most tasks
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects
- Availability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the year, both domestically and abroad for up to 10 days at a time, and to work some weekends and evenings up to 20% of the year for program deliveries and events
