WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a Public Health Advisor, you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:

• Planning, developing, and implementing public behavioral health programs in collaboration with local, state, other Federal and/or international governments and various public, nonprofit, and private and health related organizations.
• Reviewing congressional and legislative actions; assessing impact on public health program activities, initiatives, and policies; and initiating action accordingly.
• Conducting and/or assisting in the development and delivery of training courses (e.g., community planning, prevention and intervention, outreach strategies, data collection, etc.,); and assisting with special studies and/or demonstrations.

This position will be filled at the GG-07 grade level. Incumbent may be advanced non-competitively to the established target grade upon meeting developmental benchmarks, performance requirements, and other requirements, as applicable established for the career program or specifically for the incumbent.

-Assists with conducting Federal Personnel Background Investigations, many of which are sensitive or controversial, where allegations, hearsay information, or other vague or intangible information of an adverse nature exist.-Evaluates individual's trustworthiness for access to classified information, placement in a sensitive position, retention in the military services, or placement in Federal employment.-Assists with collecting and developing information from a variety of sources.-Prepares reports of investigation in accordance with DOD guidelines and instructions.
