- Direct the accomplishment of analyses, design studies, layouts, and designs on features for navigation, flood control, vertical construction and related projects.
- Provide technical advice on structural, electrical and mechanical engineering design and supervisor design computations.
- Plan and assign work of subordinates, set and adjust short term priorities and prepares schedule for work completion.
- Evaluate work performances and counsels employees on work and administrative matters.
- Coordinate development of structural, mechanical, and electrical designs and drawings required for projects.
- Oversee development of designs, plans and specifications for difficult mechanical and electrical systems containing unusual features.
- Advise others concerning electrical and mechanical design problems.
- Function as an authority on structural, electrical, mechanical engineering and architectural design matters within the agency.
