Victor and its businesses operate as Managing General Agency (MGA), offering a wide range of property, liability, motor and specialty insurance products in the UK.
What can you expect?
- Reporting directly to CUO, with direct responsibility for Victor’s appetite and pricing strategy across your designated Practice and delivering positive KPI’s aligned to our business strategy
- Senior executive position supporting CUO to deliver UK underwriting and growth strategy. Empowerment to design and implement your own plan, with the support of CUO, that supports the core objective of delivering profitable performance for our carrier partners.
- Opportunity to familiarise with proposition and core internal process and systems. Initial assessment of current performance metrics and potential actions. Robust BAU relationship with key stakeholders. Confidence in contributing ideas and solutions as part of senior leadership group
- Part of a team of 6 Practice Leaders consisting of multiple years underwriting expertise across diverse line of business/industry vertical including P&C, Motor, Financial Lines and Cargo & Logistics offering support and challenge

We will rely on you to:
- Fully contribute as core member of the senior leadership group
- Fully understand claims trends, profitability impact and to take necessary actions to pursue growth opportunities and/or implement remedial measures
- Ensure underwriting colleagues understand and deliver underwriting strategy and provide the necessary support to deliver the desired outcomes
- Provide the necessary confidence to our internal and external stakeholders in the course of delivering our underwriting and pricing strategy
- Support the CUO and provide the necessary advice when considering desired outcomes of growth and underwriting profitability
- Represent the business in key carrier partner and distribution relationships
What you need to have:
- Extensive underwriting experience in a senior capacity, regional or London market
- Experience in understanding portfolio performance
- Experience in product development and governance
- Ability to communicate/present at a senior level
What makes you stand out:
- Ideally ACII
- Previous experience in digital platform, management and delivery of insurance products
- Previous P&L/Budget responsibility and a track record of delivery core KPI
- Established producing broker network
