£22,000 - £25,000 DOE
Remote or Hybrid to Newcastle under Lyme or Taunton (2 days office, 3 days home based)
Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week between 8am – 6pm
As a Technical Claims Handler, you will act as the technical escalation point and coach within the Underground Services Team. Managing the technical aspect of a caseload of underground services claims from beginning to end, delivering excellent service to customers and clients, building relationships with our contractor network as well as ensuring agreed client SLA’s/KPI’s and philosophies (client and company) are always maintained.
What will you be doing?
- Manage a caseload of claims in accordance with client and company philosophies.
- Work proactively with all members of Underground Services to contribute to the continued success of the Team and company.
- Maintain a high level of control over claims keeping customers, clients and contractors sufficiently updated.
- Complete technical reviews of survey reports - including interpretation of policy cover, assessment of appropriate repair methods and scrutinisation of scope/costs.
- Creation and delivery of grammatically and technically correct client reports throughout the lifecycle of claims.
- Ensure at all times the delivery of grammatically and technically correct correspondence throughout the lifecycle of claims.
- Understand and maintain a relationship with all network contractors.
- Ensure comprehensive notes are recorded on all files.
- Keep up to date with the relevant legislation.
- Set and maintain financial reserves.
What are they looking for?
- Experience in an environment requiring excellent communication, both verbal and written.
- Experience within a role requiring excellent customer service.
- Experience in insurance or a claims background (desirable, but not essential).
General building/construction/underground services knowledge (desirable, but not essential). - CII Qualified to Cert CII level - (desirable but not essential).
