Your new role

Your new role

For this Teaching Assistant job in South Gloucestershire, you will be working with a pupil in Year 1 on a 1:1 basis. The pupil requires additional support throughout their school day and presents with demand avoidance. The SENCo is available to support the Teaching Assistant alongside the class teacher to ensure the pupil is supported in the best way. Being creative through your language and support to engage the pupil in learning is essential.

What you'll need to succeed

• You will have specific school-based experience in a Teaching Assistant job.
• Experience supporting a pupil with similar additional needs
• Experience dealing with challenging behaviours
• Two previous long term placement references completed

Your new role

For this Teaching Assistant job in Bristol, you will be providing small group intervention sessions for those pupils requiring additional assistance with their numeracy, literacy and phonics. You will have full support from the class teacher in line with the national curriculum to plan and prepare sessions.
