Your new school
The SEN school is based in Waltham Forest and teaches children aged 3 to 19 years with varying needs. The pupils needs include complex needs, cognition and learning difficulties. The school is committed to the developed of all their pupils and provides personal targets for each pupil so that they grow in confidence while learning essential life skills. The school was awarded 'Good' status in their most recent Ofsted inspection.
Your new role
The core purposes involve collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that pupils have every opportunity to enjoy school and achieve exceptional progress. This is achieved by teaching a designated timetable and serving as an exemplary role model for colleagues. Additionally, it includes providing guidance, training, and coaching to help staff maintain consistently outstanding teaching and learning. Making significant contributions to organizing and delivering staff development opportunities, coordinating shared working and successful practice across the Trust, and enhancing the school environment to support teaching and learning are also important.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Willingness to support and work closely with the Principal.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively.
- Highly motivated and able to motivate other staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A recognized teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
- A good understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and the National Curriculum.
