The Risk Manager RN assumes the following major duties and responsibilities:

• Serves as a subject matter expert for risk management. Working closely with service chiefs and others in planning, designing, integrating, implementing, modifying and administering the Risk Management Program. The RM maintains expertise through attendance at continuing education sessions, conferences and workshops.
• Provides advice and support to the medical center staff, directs the development and maintenance of programs designed to reduce risk at all levels within the healthcare delivery system, and provides professional management, educational assistance and policy development and implementation guidance in the area of risk management.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of EHSS or Engineering experience OR

• Associate degree and 10 years of EHSS or Engineering experience OR

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of EHSS or Engineering experience OR

• Master’s degree and 4 years of EHSS or Engineering experience OR

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of EHSS or Engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Engineering or Environmental Management degree in related field and 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry leading EHSS programs.

• Advanced relevant EHSS Certifications such as Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, Certified Environmental Professional, Board Certified Environmental Engineer.

• Demonstrated success in managing Environmental Compliance programs, with expertise in wastewater management and treatment system design.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Demonstrated success with maturing programs and processes with a continuous improvement mindset.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHS management system software solutions.
