Little Town Farm Shop in Preston are recruiting for a Trainee Chef. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 2 Catering and hospitality qualification which will take approximately 17 months to complete.
Duties:
• Working in a kitchen preparing and cooking fresh food; duties include;
• Prepping or baking
• Knife and board skills
• Making a range of desserts from the menu
• Allergen awareness
• Preparing food from the menu
• Prepare and cook fresh food, ready for selling in the farm shop
• Health and Safety
• Pizza making for 'Pizza night' the 2nd Friday of each month.
• General cleaning and housekeeping of the kitchen
• Plate up food
• May serve and clear tables
Requirements:
• You will be required to work one day on the weekend, this is on a rota basis
• Preferably someone with reliable transport with this farm shop being on the outskirts of Longridge
• Public transport is available but will need to check timings for shifts.
• Clean and hygienic
• Friendly and approachable
• Willingness to learn and passionate to be a chef
• Teamworking
• Flexible within their learning abilities

Rota Basis Earliest start time 7:30am - Latest finish 5:30pm / 30 mins lunch / 35 hours a week
