Our exclusive client is looking for looking for talented Line Chef's to join its dynamic business. This popular, funky brand is a fast paced, casual dining restaurant in Manchester City Centre, specialising in quick service modern Asian dishes.
As a growing, independent business, we're looking for open-minded people with a drive to deliver excellence in what they do, as well as brilliant personalities who can work well in our diverse team.
The team member duties are split into two sections - Front of House and Back of House. Both sections are within the kitchen, however, the duties can differ. We have vacancies for both sections, and cross training is provided if you would want to learn both.
Duties:
BACK OF HOUSE
- Prepare and cook dishes to the require standard and specifications.
- Manage a primary section on the line - Sections: Grill, Fryers, Woks
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and BOH areas.
- Uphold food safety standards at all times.
- Complete orders with speed, efficiency, and quality
- Co-ordinate with FOH team to cook orders in an efficient and timely manner.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service (mostly FOH but useful for BOH too as it's an open kitchen)
- Strong communication skills
- Fast learner with the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent team working skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not necessary.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene - Level 2 health and safety training will be provided.
- Drive for excellence and a willingness to learn.
- An interest in food and ability to recognise quality after training of our standards.

- No clean downs: For those with experience in a kitchen environment, you will be familiar with the daily clean down. We outsource this to a professional company as we want to ensure our team members can uphold focus and excellence during service hours, without the tiring aspects of cleaning down the kitchen. We also recognise the demanding and tiring nature of kitchen work (particularly as ours is extremely fast paced), and want to promote a great work-life balance without working late into the evening.
