We are looking for enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our team at York on the Coronary Care Unit.

CCU has 8 monitored beds and an extensive cardiac telemetry service which continuously remotely monitors patients throughout the hospital.

The nursing team includes a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Cardiac Outreach Service, receiving referrals for patients in ED or throughout the hospital. The cardiac outreach nurse will review and clinically assess patients with chest pain, ST elevation, raised troponin, arrhythmias and heart blocks.

We provide nurse led cardioversion, diagnoses of STEMI and referral / transfer to a centre for PPCI, thrombolysis, emergency pacing and non-invasive ventilation. We also attend all crash calls on site and are able to lead a cardiac arrest.

You will be expected to deliver high standards of care, following best practice, protocols & pathways. You should have a keen interest in nursing cardiology patients in an acute unit, with a commitment to learn & develop your skills.

It is desirable that you have completed the ILS course and an ECG course, but essential that you have at least completed a BLS.

We are a busy Technical Services Unit within the Pharmacy Department at York Hospital. Our aseptic services unit is a specialised service preparing bespoke chemotherapy, Monoclonal Antibodies as well as some Parenteral Nutrition products and a small range of other IV products.

You will also be required to participate in the decontamination and disinfection of the aseptic unit. The aseptic unit is a sterile, clean room environment where the preparation of pharmaceutical products takes place. You will also undertake some environmental monitoring duties which are essential in ensuring that the environment remains in a controlled state.

There are also administration tasks to undertake as well as stock management activities such as stock checks, receipt of stock and expiry date checks. We are looking for a conscientious individual who will take a methodical approach to a task and who appreciates the importance of following procedures.

The entry banding for this role is either a Band 2 or Band 3. This is dependent on prior Pharmacy qualifications and experience. This will be discussed at Interview. Once fully trained and qualified the post will be a Band 3. This is a fulfilling role in itself but it is also a great steppingstone into Pharmacy with many different opportunities for career development.

In this customer-facing role, you will be responsible for collecting patient information with care and compassion, ensuring all interactions are handled effectively, efficiently and in a way that preserves dignity and confidentiality. Referrals are received through telephone calls or electronic referral. Call Handlers will gather information, input referrals onto the electronic care records, using SystmOne and provide other administrative support, such as scanning documents, taking messages and signposting enquiries.

This service operates from 07:30am - 20:00pm, 7 days a week, inc bank holidays. Call handlers work across 5 shifts during the week and two shifts on a weekend (Enhancements paid for weekend working).

To work in the Single Point of Access team within Community Services, ensuring the effective and efficient handling and processing of all referrals and queries by use of telephone and electronic systems, following the appropriate referral processes.

To ensure all calls are managed in a calm and professional manner, treating everyone with dignity and respect.

To promote and enhance the Single Point of Access service at all times in accordance with policies and procedures, promoting good relations with the public, patients, referrers and other health professionals through effective communication skills.

Provide a comprehensive, efficient, effective and responsive enquiry service to all service users. Ensure that all contacts are handled in an appropriate way and demonstrate excellent customer service. Resolve enquiries to achieve an appropriate outcome.

Scope :

All finance and accounting matters relating to our business.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities :

-Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.

-To prepare invoices for reporting.

-Preparing all Final Disbursement Accounts (FDA) accurately and within deadlines.

-Prepare and arrange 'Cash To Master (CTM)' with vendors.

-Process payment to suppliers and staff reimbursement.

-Prepare monthly AP journals, postings and schedules.

-Any other adhoc tasks as assigned by your immediate supervisor

Skills and Qualifications :
