Job responsibilities
· Establish centrality in relevant startup communities, identify market opportunities, ensure the Amber team has access to investment opportunities.
· Conduct in-depth research and analysis on various industries and markets to identify potential investment opportunities.
· Evaluate investment opportunities in collaboration with Asia leadership, model valuations, help manage relationship with team at prospective investments.
· Assist in all aspects of deal execution including modelling, light legal work, investment project evaluation, liaising with external vendors, and managing timelines.
· Monitor, socialize, document industry trends, maintain research database of companies in relevant sectors, track leadership and investor changes.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies governing investment activities.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of investment activities, transactions, and communications.
Job requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) is preferred.
· Minimum of 3-5 year experience in investment management, portfolio analysis, or a related field.
· Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, digital assets, familiarity with Web 3.
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex investment concepts.
· Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; Mandarin speaking is a plus.
· Good team player with a startup mindset and respect for timelines.
· Direct deal/investing experience at VCs is preferred.
